Weird, seriously, let's not do anything major until tomorrow.

HugoLuman suddenly had an idea. Jumping up on the rock, he shouted "Thank you all, but we Angels need time to, um, set up our divine sleeping bags! So leave and come ye not again until tomorrow afternoon! Then we shall explain!"

All the elves began to withdraw from the camp, and in minutes they were all gone with their master. Searches of the nearby woods revealed no spies. HugoLuman turned around. "Set that dragon to watch duty, we need to sleep!"

There are some extra special things to see inside the tower, probably best not to describe them right before bed.

Damn, I only just woke up :( I'll never get in on the bulk of the action, as it always happens during my sleeping hours.

Oliolli's equipment:
xclothesx (in an eternal state of worn)
Ugonil, artifact slade warhammer
Oliolli's severed left lower leg

This whole KodKod business seems... interesting. We all (all of us who were there for the first part) remember what sort of a history Oliolli had with KodKod.

Walking was slow when you had only one leg. Still, Oliolli had nothing better to do.
*step**click*
Eventually he'd reach legendary cructh walker. It was only a matter of time.
*step**click*

Well, that worked out well for you.
Go to hell.
We already are.
What do you want?
Well, being a disembodied spirit in a place like this gets boring. Sure, I could leave but there's no reason it wouldn't be boring in here for you too. So, I figured I could keep you company.
*step**click*
Why are you helping them?
Simple. Power.
If the Big Bad summons S.C.A.M.P.5. there will be no survivors. That includes you.
*step**click*
Never thought of it that way.
*step**click*
*step**click*

Whatever, I can find some other baddie to help. I still want revenge on you. The fact that the fort we were in is no more didn't change that.
I assume you know about what's been going on. Did any others survive? Where are they?
Some others have survived. Last I checked, they were fortifying their front yard.
*step**click*
They've got some nasty neighbours, you know. They don't know this yet. If I'm correct, and old aquaintance of mine is the neighbour's leader.
Old aquantance?
KodKod. Heck, I was originally sent to the Twelfth Bay to contain that monster.
Well, that worked out well.

*step**click*

I'm leaving.

This was going to be a long walk.

--
Days turned into weeks, weeks into months, months into years. Every now and then Evil Oliolli's spirit would visit Oliolli, until one day it just left and didn't return.
--
This is all your fault.
What do you mean?
You had to go and forget to carry a two. That resulted in the Spawn appearing, which in turn led us here. Hence, this is your fault.
If you had just let Clockwork Oliolli kill us, we would've been able to leave free and probably found Gizogin and his machines.
I hate you.
*stepclick*
Hey.
Hmm?
You know about these sorts of things. What would happen if we jumped into an eerie glowing pit?
We've done it. Twice.
But we always grabbed the sides. What if we just went for free-fall?
After a long fall, we'd end up in the planet's orbit. I know, wierd. Hey, maybe we should try it?
Rather not. Bad things tend to happen to things that fall from orbit.
Oliolli kept walking and hoped for a deus ex machina.

Oh right, Reudh's current equipment. I totally forgot.

High quality cave spider silk clothing, somewhat muddied from his trek across the country.

A single, very old stone stored in his pocket. It's a slade pebble. No matter how much Reudh tries, his forbidden masonry skills cannot shape the pebble.

A small pushdagger, shaped from a stone found on the ground during the advance of the elves. It's quite brittle and hastily made, so won't last very long. Reudh hasn't inspected the stone closely to see what it's made from. It has no name currently.

A large warhammer, shaped from a boulder that one of Corai's kobolds rolled over. It's made from cinnabar (mercury ore), and has been finished to a bright sheen and coated with clay, using Reudh's forbidden masonry skills. It is now roughly equivalent to a steel warhammer in terms of strength. It also has no name currently.

In his right chest pocket is eviction papers. He was ejected from the mountainhome after an accident involving two passing dwarves and a 3x3x3 sphere of obsidian.

I like the term "ejected." Implying you were launched forcefully over the walls, from a catapult. :P

Reudh imagines back to the day they ejected him...

Oh, what a day it was. He awoke to see the Captain of the Guard and his cronies standing in his tiny, cramped room. Just woken up, bleary eyed, he couldn't remember what they were saying until everything snapped into focus.

"Three dwarves obsidianised... Obsidian chunk now screams day and night...  Efforts to move the obsidian have failed...  It was an accident of course, but the fact that you were using forbidden masonry skills still stands... What's the penalty for this, Urist?"

One of the cronies stepped forward, with an incredibly dusty tome in his hands.

"Ah, Urist. Glad to see someone in this place put a few points into Reader."

Urist grunted and began thumbing through the pages of the book.

"Sir... I believe I found it. Page 434, section 2: Regarding the Use Of The Old Skills..."

"Yes, yes, Urist, hurry up and get to the point."

"Fish summoning using dwarven blood: Death..." Urist appeared to trail off until the Captain thumped him over the head, knocking his helmet to the ground.

"Get to the point, guardsman!" roared the captain.

Urist rolled his eyes, muttered barely audibly, and then said
"Penalty for using the ancient Saliva-Based-Masonry skills: Forced Ejection".

By now Reudh had gotten his voice.
"F-f-f-f-forced ejection? What's that?"

The captain of the guard laughed, and produced some <<pigtail fiber rope>>. He handed it to a crony, while another leapt upon Reudh and pinned him down. The guard holding the rope began hog-tying Reudh's arms to his legs, behind his back.

Then, at the captain's signal, five guards lifted Reudh above their heads, and began carrying him through the fort.

At the front of the group carrying Reudh, walked the Captain of the Guard. At the rear, walked the remaining guards, who as per the punishment, were to point and guffaw loudly as Reudh was paraded through the fort.

Terrified, Reudh struggled, but he was unable to move from the guards' iron grip. He could see people he knew, people who were friends... people who were enemies... people who were... oh, gods... family... all pointing and laughing at him, even if they didn't appear to enjoy it, it still stung.

The guards continued carrying Reudh; another tenet of the punishment was that the fort had to be shown the criminal before his or her forced ejection. They passed the mayor's office, the dining hall, the broker's room, and... worst of all, the king and queen's chambers. The king was a distant relative of Reudh's, but he had no love lost for the odd mason. The king just sighed at Reudh, before opening his mouth, pointing at Reudh, and started saying "HARHARHARHAR."

Finally, after two circuits of the fort, Reudh was taken to the Siege Engine room. There, red-clad dwarves hustled back and forth, loading catapults set up to hit walls, and ballistas that had room to fall down without hitting anyone. There were also a few ballistas set up in a staggered array, as were the catapults...

Without warning, the guards lifted him even higher, and placed him on the catapult.

A vaguely familiar voice shouted back from the fort "Aim for tha murky pool full o' carp an' bones!"

Reudh let out a muffled shout. To fall in the pool of carp was the worst death possible!

Thankfully, as he began praying to Armok to let him live so that he may make more blood than would from his death, the lever of the catapult slipped and threw Reudh clear in the air; not in the direction of the carp pool, but over toward the nearby featherwood forest. All Reudh could do was tuck himself in the air so he didn't hit his head; even a stout dwarven skull would be cracked on impact.

He remembered flying through the air... but the landing. Oh the landing... He didn't remember the actual impact, but the landing! Aching, protesting bones! Bruised muscles and lungs! Out of the corner of his eye he could see a shifting red and yellow sentence; "Mortal Wound!".

With a sigh, he passed out.

When he came to, about a half day later, he was a good while from the fort. He wasn't quite so sore anymore. A hunter from the fort surveyed him critically, before untying his bonds.

"Be off wit' ye, you cannae come back on pain of death... Reudh, I dinnae like this ruling, but tha' obsidian block still screams yet, cousin... An' our remaining masons can't seem to wall it away."

Reudh just groaned, and hopped to his feet.

"Ye best be goin'. I'd like to give ye me bone crossbow, but if the king found out I'd be ejected too. All I can say, is stay safe, cousin."

The hunter turned away, trekked a short distance before concealing himself behind the bushes. Reudh had no doubt that the hunter was training his crossbow on Reudh, to make sure he didn't come back.

So all Reudh could do was walk away from the fort he grew up in... The fort where his family had lived for generations.

Back in the present, Reudh's eyes grew misty. But he parceled that memory away, so that it mightn't endanger his life in combat...

Wow, that's quite the colorful description of dwarven justice. "Forced ejection." Hah. Should be an actual punishment applicable in-game for the most heinous of crimes, like ignoring a mandate. :P

Could be done with a dwarf loaded into a minecart, then sent flying over a jump to a death far below.

For me it jumped from 2 pages to 17 in one night. While I was reading through those 15 new pages, it advanced to 18 pages. Then 19. Then 20. Then 21.
