I've seen animals get names after they are trained, but those are randomly assigned I think.. I'm not sure if you can assign names in-game.

 @BFEL: Click on the links in my sig, and you fill find a working version of the mod. I just wanted a restart, with more balancing and different featuters, but if you dont want to play the alpha, have a look at the 1.9.5 version.

Lol well to be perfectly honest I'm working on some modding of my own, and was hoping that perhaps when I get it finished you might want to take a look at it, I figured if its in the alpha stages it means your designing a mostly new version, and thus may take stuff from other people perhaps XD

When your projects are complete, post them in a thread in the modding forum with clearly marked "This is free for people to use including compiling in mod packs, have fun", and if it's cool people will pick it up.

Overseers, be warned: season autosave takes literally MINUTES. Like, it's longer than Metallica's 'House Jack Built' (I was listening to that, and it's 6:40) I suppose this is due to the world's long history, as it was generated at 300 years. Still annoying.

I did not stumble uppon this while playing testforts. The only thing that affects the speed of saves is the world size, embark size and history. Hope the next player will not report the same ^^

I figured this could be the case. Embark is 5x3, world size is default I think, but a 300 years of history is kind of a setback in this case.
