I looked at the raws.
The NECROFIGHTER_STONE SYNDROME does add the NOSTUN tag to the dwarf.
Code: [Select]
[INORGANIC:NECROFIGHTER_STONE] produced in transmutation
[USE_MATERIAL_TEMPLATE:STONE_VAPOR_TEMPLATE]
[STATE_NAME_ADJ:ALL_SOLID:Demonbound Vapor]
...
[CE_ADD_TAG:NOSTUN:NONAUSEA:NO_DIZZINESS:NO_FEVERS:PARALYZEIMMUNE:NOFEAR:TRANCES:LIKESFIGHTING:START:0]
on line 5292 in the save I looked at.

Ishar your changes look fine to me.

arclance, thanks. I always checked the creature raws and removed the NO_STUN there, I did not think of checking the syndrome for transformation. I should have. You fixed it. :) Nice catch, that one confused the heck out if me.

Edit: And I even know why I overlooked it. The tag is NOSTUN, not NO_STUN. Never showed up in the searches I did.

Godd job, now get Ishar back into the fight, that lazy guy laid in bed long enough. And name that Arclance guy for fixing it, if possible so that his dwarf does not die in the next round ;)

Now, in regards to Darkhawk vs. Ishar

First: Artifact Mailshirt against artifact razorplate (breastplate, as far as i know)

As far as i know, mailshirts also protect the throat, but are less likely to intercept an attack, while breastplates (and razorplates) offer more protection, but on less space. But after all, you can throw that out of the window, because dwarfs can wear both, and quality isnt the biggest factor after all. And both is iridium, so many weapons will only glance away, if they come through at all. Ishars greaves still give him a small edge though, but then again, both dont get hit all that often.

Swords:
Darkhawk is attached to his runic weapon too, while ishar is attached to a normal one, which you cant change anymore because he will never drop it again (unless he dies, and at that point, it will not matter anymore). Point for my dwarfen badass.

Bindings:
Darkhawk is on the way to get stonebound, which should get him back on Ishars level in that regard. I never used the transformations, so i dont know which one is better in which situation, so both might have an edge in certain combat-environments.

Skill:
Darkhawk legendary, Ishar great, easy to understand who wins that one ;) Although i dont have every skill at hand, at least one of ishars should be legendary due to his "Turn megabeast into skill, PROFIT"-dwarfpimping.

Awesomeness:
Five sauropods just killed en route because they were there, a orc killed by biting through his mailshirt and a souleating sword that talks, questions? ;)

But you know what? Screw this comparing stuff im doing here, because we will throw BOTH at our enemies, sounds like an idea ;)

I thought it was NO_STUN too.
I looked it up on the wiki when I saw NOSTUN in the raws to see which was correct.

You might want to fix the raws yourself at the end of the current turn before the next person starts to make sure the fixes have been applied correctly.
Do you know if editing the syndrome affect a dwarf already under its effects or not?
If it does you could make it possible for Ishar to sleep again.

Editing the syndrome does not help the already affected dwarf. Ishar will keep the NOSTUN. But with NO_SLEEP that is no problem. I will apply it to the main mod though.

I'll try my best.

1 month down, 12 to go...

hostergaard thank you for your many years of dedicated beekeeping. Now welcome to the army. Since we have a shortage of war trained animals you will probably go into battle with the deer. I have no idea why the only thing anybody decided to train was deer, but it's what we got so it's what you'll be riding into battle.

Also; I trained the golems. I hope that's not a bad thing. and a note, direwolves are not trainable. If I can take a deer into battle I should be able to take a dire wolf!!

Beekeeper turned warrior sounds great! To war I ride, on my fearsome steed, a deer with bloodlust shining from it eyes! Does it come with antlers? Antlers of war that is.

They decided to leave my fortress via the circus because the front door was locked to keep Goblins out.  THAT should be an interesting trip back to the Mountainhome.

Also, Darkhawk was a Legion Dwarf if I remember correctly (unless he's been transformed), which is a pretty powerful caste in its own right.  Many of the same strength and healing buffs as the various magic fighters, plus the 250% learn rate for some military skills.

As to legion Dwarfs, we do have a couple of unrecruited ones lying around, including a Peasant who grew up only this year. I think his name was Dastost or something. I never got to recruiting them because we didn't have any decent armor and weapons due to me trading them all and Smakupagus, our best armorsmith, being on break most of the year. Turned out he was all uppity because of the Preacher position or something and had started production again by the end of my turn. I produced a fair bit of Welded Mithril as well, so we should be able to equip at least a couple more guys.

Transformed dwarfs get that same boost as well.

It gets better and better, im satisfied with my chosen dwarf.... Dont they also feel no pain? Or are those only berserkers?

Also, replace every non-legiondwarf in the military with a legion dwarf, no need to waste precious ressources, put them into squads of 2, so we get a lot of sparring, demonstrations are to slow (yes, 250% bonus, but sparring gets it too, on more then one skill and only on the useful ones)

Another thing we could do is writing melee and defense tomes. Seriously, a couple of those can train a raw recruit into a powerhouse in a single season.

Could I request someone to do a little bit on science on that ? How fast dwarves learn from this ? The only thing I can affect is the amount of items created, currently it is two. I can make it harder to produce, or slower, by adding more reagents, but I would like/need to know how much these two items train with each repetition.

At the moment we have rather a large amount of Essences, so making Tomes is only useful for the science.

We should totally use some of the Essences though.

Legion dwarfes learn combat skills faster.... does that also apply to the essences? Because a bonus of 250% to a jump to legendary seems pretty good to me.... maybe a bit overpowered, but good nontheless ;)

Legendary is lvl15, with the boost (yes, it applies) they will probably jump to max, lvl20, in one go. Your call.
