Well congratulations, you send one of the two capable soldiers in the fort into an endless sleep. But Darkhawk just kills 5 sauropods by just walking by them, so we should be good. Did his stonebound transformation work?

Give him credit, at least this time, I'm not dead yet. And we can STILL pull this off if somebody presents a cure for my dwarf in the form of some raw-editing magic.

You aren't Stonebound, one try didn't work, the second was interrupted because I needed you to slaughter things. we will try again this season.

I get 40-50 fps usually, but right now we have something like 100 antmen in the depths, a huge caravan with guards on the surface, plus 20-40 goblins shooting arrows at everything that moves, on the plus side our herds of free roaming animals is reduced, so when this is over we might get a bit of fps improvement from that.

Well, you can also make traffic designations, lock/wall of a few big unusued areas, and atomsmash/cremate a ton of unwanted goods. That should help a little, but 40-50 doesnt sound too bad to me.

40-50 is perfectly fine, I plug away at my games even when it is down around 10, so this ain't no thing.

Another break for me: I won't be around from wednesday to sunday. If my turn rolls around in the meantime, skip me. I will definitely be back though.

Still no luck with the sleeping demonbound?

Haven't played since the Fall update, will get to that either tonight or tomorrow morning and I am in the middle of dealing with a ton of goblins, however you have not woken up, except when I deconstruct your bed when you get thirsty or hungry, then you immediately head to the kitchen, then back to bed.

I imagine if we could do away with the drowsy condition you have, you might stay awake, unless I did something wrong again with adding the no_sleep tag(entirely possible.)

I already bordered unused parts of the courtyards as low traffic zones, and started cremating bodyparts. The problem is that you get ash when you cremate, so the itemcount stays the same.
I would also suggest to not kill when not necessary. The game keeps track of every creature, even the dead ones (probably ghost checks everything). If the goblins retreat, fine, let them run, will help fps in the long run and doesnt clutter the map with even more stuff.

Another way to maybe help speed up time again would be to give away as much stuff as possible to caravans. Old weapons and armor, tattered clothes, stuff we looted from caravans which got cought of guard, every item less on the map will help, even if its not on a great extend.

Also, build Darkhawk a tomb, i think he doesnt have one right now ;) (Maybe with a nice artifact in a case in it?)

Tomb granted, I am afraid it is impossible for Darkhawk to not kill unnecessarily, you can tell him to stop if you like.

Just dont send Darkhawk as long as the fort isnt in real danger. Ranged weapons with piercing/hammerhead ammunition will kill enough enemies to have them run away in fear and terror, while keeping the mess outside at a minimum level (which is why i never use broadhead-weapons, to many loose bodyparts ;) )

Dropping a little early to let Zen do the trading and put out the fires, I think the well melted, we lost about 10 or so during the year, but the Broodmothers are beginning to produce.

My Dwarf used up all of our tomes, of which we had like 4 and only got to Legendary Druid, we have lots of Evil books and Runes for the future to work with. I used most of our trade goods and our coal, so that should be a priority if anyone wants to trade stuff.

We should have a lot of Essences and we have a reasonable amount of Bifrost now thanks to the recent ambush, Darkhawk is still recovering, you'd think a broken arm wouldn't keep him down.

Good luck, save is posted in the update thread.

Rules on skipped turns? Can I take my turn now, or will I have to go to the end of the line?

It's not a real fortress until the well is contaminated with heavy metals.
