Ah, hell... people, if you insinst. I played 1 season, but might as well find a new embark with the structure. I just hope that the fps will not die because of the serious amount of hostiles...
If you are having FPS issues using the default settings during the first season I'd call that a bug. You should report it to the mod creator. ;)

I found something perfect. No underground structure though, but the rest is just perfect.

A hill in the center, steep ramsp up, a flat volcano at a cliff face that goes 50zlvls down into the ocean. Imagine it:
A hill on the shore, castle on top in front of a smoldering volcano, 3 steep ramps up, a magma moat, and in their back: Only the ocean. The last stand of the dwarves. :)

And what about civs? Do we have a nice supply of traders and invaders there?

Meph was unable to to start his turn due to time constraints. Would anyone like to volunteer to take the first embark? Hopefully somewhere with an underground structure? If you can find one of mephs underground structures you will go down in history as the first ever overseer of the official masterwork succession fort!

The game will be played using the Phoebus Tileset, and the Masterwork Mod V1.9.2 with default settings. (excepting to turn illithids off) The embark should be on one of the built in worlds Garden of Gaia, Blessed Serra, somewhere not to remote in Remote Tolaria, or one of the more habitable areas of Scorched Shiv.

If you find a place you think is suitable please post it here so we can discuss it. Thanks!

I can give it a shot, also I can usually generate a world with Illithids in it without crashing, can we have Illithids on if I can get that?

Found one! Garden of Gaia, year 100 with standard settings, Illithids are enabled though. dfreveal shows a useful amount of all minerals, embark is in a temperate conifer forest, tons of trees and plants, area is warm. No stream, river or brook, and we have a tower that should be sending visitors before too long, sound decent?

Oh yeah, and we got a demon fort down on cavern level three.

@oliverosky95 We want to use one of the worlds  that comes with masterwork, since this fort is about testing, balancing, and finding issues with the mod.
@Panopticon, what size is the embark? Could you post the save? Illithids are great! as far as I know they only cause a crash during world gen, so if you made it past that point we should be ok. We don't want it to be to hard, is there _any_ water available? Also can traders find us?
@betelgeuse Great! glad to have you on board.

Mountainking Urist McZenerbufen has decreed that A new Fortress shall be built. To be outfitted with all the latest in dwarven technology. You will be using the designs of the kings top adviser, a mysterious person who lurks in the shadows and is only know as 'Meph'.

You will build a mighty tower! It will rise to the sky for all to see the true might of the dwarven empire, and it's lower levels shall be dug to the deepest levels of the earth. We will need lots of room, lots of supplies, and lots of dwarfs to carry out Meph's experiments. This mighty tower shall be our front line offense, as well as our most strongest defended defensive position. It shall be large enough to house the entire population of dwarfs should the need arise, and should be suitable for a king, shall I decide to come visit, or take up permanent residence.

Do you mighty dwarfs Panopticon, Ishar, Phones, Aseaheru, Betelgeuse, and oliverosky95 accept this challenge?

A week seems a bit long to confirm, id say if no response in a day or two we can skip and come back. I'm ok with a week, or possibly longer to play the turn as long as progress updates are provided. Thoughts?
