Toonami's been on for a while. If you haven't been watching, you can still catch the second go around! Casshern Sins was surprisingly upbeat this week.

I need to remember to bump this before it starts, rather then after it starts.

I missed the first showing of Deadman Wonderland because I was playing Fallout. Damn you Fallout, you treacherous swine. Ironically, I was specifically playing Dead Money, which also includes collars that will kill you.

Oh man, Mushroom Samba is up to bat tonight, awesome. For those of you that don't know that, but like cowboy bebop, you'd better tune in! It's the best.

If by upbeat you mean not gut-wrenchingly depressing, then yes, it was.

Mushroom Samba was fun. Cowboy Bebop is a good show. After three episodes, I now know three characters' names, and one is the dog.

Upbeat for Casshern Sins. It's an important distinction. :P

And good, Ein is the best character.

I keep hearing Dead Man Wonderland starts out strong but goes to shit, and Casshern Sins is the opposite. I would like to disagree(But we can't be sure till the final credits roll), Dead Man onderland is good for a chuckle(all the censorship puts me in the mind of the Boondocks), and Cashern Sins is a bit more refined and by refined I mean RIP AND TEAR ROBOT ACTION with aside of 3DEEP5YOU. I like both of 'em equally.

After DMA and Cashews, I usually watch the /a/ v.s /v/ shitstorm that inevitably brews on a toonami thread.

This is what I was thinking. However, I think Deadman Wonderland is going to be good throughout, but not as good as the first and second episodes. And I'd be fine if Casshern Sins stayed at the same level - I'm really enjoying it currently (though I do still expect it to get better as it progresses).

I honestly don't mind deadman wonderland but the characterization of Shiro, I think her name is, just kinda drives the entire thing into "comically unbelievable". I like it, but not for the "DEATH GAMES" aspect so much as just how ridiculous it can be sometimes.

And I'm okay with Casshern sins, still probably my favorite, but I hope it gets a it more action-ey and less philisophical. Last night's episode was gold though. Akoes (or however you spell it) is the best.

Anyway, not really been able to watch. Not sure how fast DMW's going... has th'yandere chick showed up yet? Formaldehyde line yes/no? Honestly, I just want to know how that comes off (heh) animated. Too lazy to find out through other means than Toonami, though.

Also super monk. Hoping it gets to the super monk.

I don't recall any formaldehyde line so I don't think so. I will admit Super Monk has me intrigued.

One thing I can say is that the plot does leave me guessing. I'm usually pretty good at scoping out what's gonna happen in anime (at least when the pieces are in place) but it's got me in the dark.

Seems like it was in the hummingbird fight and not in the anime, from cursory searching. Meh. You can find it pretty easily with a google image search for "deadman wonderland formaldehyde" apparently. It's pretty memorable, heh.

Can't find a good screen of the supermonk line, though.

And yeah, the plot is kinda' balls-off insane. Not the most predictable thing because it's full of "from left field" stuff, at least up to the point of the manga I hit.

No real new characters yet. The "Red Man" in G-block was just introduced, but hasn't been shown much. He should be the focus of the next episode.

That's because it's so random, jumping from day to day. It's not very coherent, apart from an underlying thread.
