This is slowly becoming even more bleak than The Road. I didn't even think that could be done.

So far it's got a very old school made new school vibe. Which I'm totally digging for all I have no bloody idea what's going on.

How would the robots eat the guy, anyway? No mouth-equivalent!

S'what I was thinking too actually. Also that kid has some serious derp face goin on.

EDIT: Oh, she's a robot, that makes a little more sense. Kinda. Maybe.

EDIT2: Judging by steven blum's twitter this thing was a success! Good to hear. Toonami's back.  :D

Having never seen any of these shows before, I was pretty impressed. Bleach sucked, but that was expected. I really like Deadman Wonderland. When Casshern Sins started up, I didn't think I'd like it, but that was reversed by the time of the end of the episode. I've read Fullmetal Alchemist, and felt that the adaptation isn't as good as it could be, but if it weren't for that I'd think the anime is excellent. Ghost in the Shell is good; I've seen the film, and the show did not disappoint. And Cowboy Bebop was not at all what I expected, from what I had heard about it, but I enjoyed it; I'll try to catch up to the current episode, if I can find it somewhere accessible.

I give it 7.5/10. 8.5 without Bleach; which, thankfully, is at one end of the lineup.

On the subject of advertisements, I don't see what the appeal here is. The question of whether to watch these shows isn't whether it's an enjoyable use of my time, but rather if it's worth enduring the commercials.

I have no bloody idea what's going on.
It's taking intentionally vague to the brink of going too far. I admit, I'm intrigued.
Ahahaha what the hell panty shot. I was totally expecting it but it was still a bit of a sideswipe.
I don't recall this. When did it happen?
I'm liking Deadman Wonderland. It's also a pretty good indicator of how uncensored Toonami is going to be now.
Hah, yeah. I was surprised by the brutality of it. The verbal censoring disrupts the flow a bit - and sometimes obscures the meaning of the sentence - but the general lack of censorship is pleasing me. Probably my favorite show from the lineup, for many reasons.
Huh. Anyone know how th'deadman wonderland anime stacks up to the manga version?
How does it stack up, if the first episode's enough to go on? Is the anime as good as the manga?

Re: PS, it happened repeatedly throughout the beach scene till the start of that fight where cash-in went and threw the innard party in front of the extremelolibot. In that area. First time was kind of a backflip thing or... something, don't quite remember, but a bit after that was a bloody series of the things.

As for DW, the anime's first ep matches the manga pretty well, was good. Didn't like the voice actors, mostly, but dub is dub eh. Still. Fairly true to the art style, setting, etc. Little more melodramatic than I remember the manga being but that may be because of ginta's voice actor :P The post-conviction yelling made me groan, and not in a good way. Also totally not how I imagined the prison headmaster wuzzit to sound like. Not nearly cheerful enough, though the lines and the expression are pretty down pat. Will have to see what future holds.

dammit, I don't have cable. I don't want to ask this, but since I watched toonami basically from the beginning, is there any place I can watch a rebroadcast of it so I can see for myself? I'll take even just the inbetween promos and the game reviews just to see TOM back in action again!

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

I dunno if Toonami aftermath is airing the new toonami (prolly not), but it airs old stuff at least.

Also toonami's on now! Go ahead and tune in if you can/want it to succeed. The first week was a success, but this is counting on more then one day!

Yeah, Casshern Sins and Deadman Wonderland are clearly the new stars of the show. Nice to see Cowboy Bebop again though.

EDIT: Also if you've got a twitter, hammer on that #Toonami hashtag, that's a part of making this take off too. It's honestly a pretty neat discussion going on in there usually! Don't be shy.

Alright, by the end of tonight I imagine most of you will have picked a favorite from the current lineup.

Poll is subject to change whenever I feel like it.

Seriously. Toonami is an inalienable right. It's in the constitution somewhere.

Had (3) friends at my house last night, so we watched it together. We skipped Bleach. One said Deadman Wonderland was bad, the other two really liked it. They all said Casshern Sins was bad. Fullmetal Alchemist got a unanimous "okay". Ghost in the Shell was "pretty good". And Cowboy Bebop went over decently, though one fell asleep and another implied that it wasn't as good as Firefly.
These friends don't get to watch Toonami at my house anymore.
My favorites are, in order: Deadman Wonderland, Casshern Sins, Ghost in the Shell, Cowboy Bebop, Fullmetal Alchemist, Bleach.
