"There are four mages here, Gus, in case you didn't notice."
Finish rotting off my vine and escape.
"Which one would you think I meant?" Gus retorts.
"The busy one. Point a finger or something, will you? We all have better things to do than solve puzzles."

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

Avoid getting caught in vines. Kelpify the first set of vines that attempts to attack one of my cohorts.

Prologue: Not Again

Continue levitating the suicidal fleshwarper out of there.
[4-2+2] You gently raise the fleshwarper off the floor. It'd still be pretty easy for the vines to snag him, but he's at least not lying on top of them.

[5+3] vs [4+1] The vines suck out [5] a large quantity of blood.

+1 Metamagic
-5 HP

Oops lol. Gustavo shouts "Hey mage guy, wanna help us?" then tries to rip the vines to bits, focusing necromantic magic through his fingers into the plant as he grabs them.
[6-1][1] vs [6+3] You expertly channel minor necromantic energy into your fingertips. Unfortunately the vines are alarmingly good at grasping your wrists, and it dissipates without you managing to get a good shot with it.

[2+3] vs [8] Fortunately, it fails to draw any blood, preoccupied as it is with avoiding your hands.

+3 Necromancy

Rhedarios blablablablablabla. Getting repetitive.

Escape.
[6+1] vs [7+3] You fail to wriggle free of the grasping vines.

[3+3] vs [8+1] You avoid losing any more blood, however.

"There are four mages here, Gus, in case you didn't notice."
Finish rotting off my vine and escape.
[2+2-1][10+2-1] vs [9+3] You channel some weak power into your hands, but fail to properly focus it into the writhing plant.

[7+3] vs [3+1] It drains [2] a bit more blood.

-2 HP

well now that im not being eaten anymore i think i shall rest and regenerate... in midair...while dreaming of nice soft clouds...
[1] You dream of being eaten alive by a ravenous maelstrom of bleeding thorns and screaming souls.

Oddly enough, you don't regenerate.

Avoid getting caught in vines. Kelpify the first set of vines that attempts to attack one of my cohorts.
[4-3+2][8-3+2] vs [9+3] You fail to kelpify the vines.

Rachel continues to stand there. "Uhhhhh.... you guys okay...?"

[7+4] vs [3+3] The knight cleaves straight through the vines, liberating her comrade. [6][3][3] She bolts in the opposite direction, while both crossbowmen stagger a bit further from the thrashing, thirsting vines.

The plant itself shudders and seems to reorient itself. [6] It then lets out a rumbling screech and begins lashing out at everything within range.

[8+3] It reaches up and snatches the floating snack out of the sky, though it doesn't drag it down.
[10+3-2] vs [3] Clarence is caught off guard as the vines whip out and snag his leg.
[4+3-2][10+3-2] vs [4+2][6+2] The vines grab the ranger who had until now been free.

Rhedarios turns his gaze to Rachel, smiling and appearing at ease. The people who were already freed should stay in safety.
"You should stay back and rest, Rachel. We will be joining you as soon as we escape this. Just stay out of the vines' reach."

Escape.

"Hey steve." You speak into the air.

"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

alter my dream and use my subconscious mind to cast the most basic fire  spell imaginable... Draw heat...

draw all heat from the vines touching me into a thin shell coalescing under the surface of the vines flesh where it makes contact with my body...

spell will dissipate if contact is broken.

Edit:actually i think i will just rest and regenerate again... fire magic hasn't helped me so far
if regeneration is a guaranteed fail due to being grabbed again i think ill just try to taste bad

Gustavo was disappointed. The first thing that their group does is get hit by an Imperial patrol, then second they create a biological monstrosity that is hostile towars everything. "This is catastrophic. Most of the group captured, while she just stands out there twiddling her thumbs. Damn Rogues."

He channeled more necromantic energy over his skin, sending it into the vines wherever they touched his skin.

Drain Life from the plant, especially the part of it that stores blood.

Kelpify the vines around me to make them slick, then escape, again.

guys its like 2 am and im in bed trying to sleep but failing miserably, that aside i just realised something... the plant is more active when looking for blood right?

So what happens if someone Increases the rate at which the blood it has already siphoned off duplicates at a cellular level?

Would the exponential growth sate the plants appetite?

((On a failure, the plant'd get an infinite energy source and continue following its predatory instincts.))
