Management options.

right now we are pretty limited in what we can actually do with managers but i would like to see that expanded. here are a few of my ideas, feel free to discuss and post your own.

closed fortress: tell those immigrants to fuck off, they aren't welcome here. i duno maybe with the penalty of a negative thought from all dorfs like to socialise or have family and friends outside the fort.
banishment: someone commits a crime, send them away never to return. avoids the negative thoughts of someone being executed and can deal with trouble makers.
specialist hires: request a dorf skilled in a specific field to come to your fort, you have to offer a high quality room and specific brew/food that they like to attract them.

Those sound like political decisions rather than management decisions. We'll need a politics screen where we all laws can be determined. It would also be a good place to put the external relations of the fortress, with the other dwarven fortresses (equal, subordinate or superior) and other civilizations.

ya that to, also i hope at one point to trade prisoners in making way for or as part of a peace treaty.
