Hayato swung himself from horseback, electing to meet him on foot. The man may not have honor, but he wouldn't lower himself to his level, even if he had to attack 3 on 1. Besides, he did not wish his mount to be wounded. Hayato grasped his naginata and launched himself forward.

Kenage & Oshaberi
Oshaberi continues to treat the one-armed samurai to the best of his abilities (but doesn't get any more rolls for it). Kenage asks the Geisha his question, and the reply is thus: "Moretsu-san. Two Samurai challenged Taichiro and Daichi over a peasant who was to be executed. Daichi was slain, Taichiro lost his arm during the ensuing duel...last we saw, two members of the Shogunate were challenging those samurai alongside Moretsu Nobunaga-sama in order to avenge them, but the murderers fled like cowards after their attempt to lead the people in rebellion failed."

(960(11)61=26) You have no problem making a makeshift shelter. You quickly fall asleep (52/100) And though morning comes too soon, you are undisturbed during your rest.

Asane & Hayato &  Katsu & Ted
Initiative Order (Stance, Weapons, Armor, Wound State in italics)
Hayato Attack Stance, Naginata, Light (20+5against slower), Healthy (0)
Katsu Attack Stance, Naginata, Light (20+5against slower), Healthy (0) - 50 Feet from Ted, Hayato, and Asane
Ted Full Defense Stance, Katana, Ashigaru (23+5), Grazed (13) - In the chaos, Ted is unable to use his training to his advantage.
Asane Defense Stance, Naginata, Light (25), Healthy (0)
Katsu's Horse Healthy (0) - Out of control! (Will attack AND move on it's own turn), 50 Feet from Ted, Hayato, and Asane

Hayato dismounts rather than risk losing control of his horse by riding it into combat, and lunges at Ted with his naginata! (574675=20) But Ted easily parries his attack!

Katsu attempts to regain control of his horse! (72711=16) But is unable to do so, and the beast continues to panic!

Ted remains in Full Defense stance! (51421=9/2=4)

Asane simply speaks to Ted (refer to Hailfire's post), entering a defensive stance.

Katsu's horse continues to flee down the street, bursting into the marketplace! Katsu and his Horse are now 100 feet from the site of the battle!

As the horse runs, Katsu notes that the magistrate and his retinue of Ashigaru have begun to head towards the battle, and that the Magistrate's bodyguard has acquired a sodegarami. They no doubt mean to use it to make an arrest.
The crowd finally disperses, allowing Ted to make full use of his abilities!

Hori scratched his stomach as he woke. Not quite full, not quite empty. A feeling he was happily used to. He packed up his things, scattered the shelter in a way to avoid showing signs of someone being there, and does the same to the fire. He hummed a tune he learned at the temple as he left the forest.
-He leaves for the capital city-

What has gotten in to this animal?
Katsu was having hard time controlling his steed. To be honest, its was a new horse, one he was recently given from the Ryoshun stables, and it was still some time before the animal truly got used to both the chaos and the new rider.

Get horse under control. Rejoin the combat with Ted.

Ted nodded towards the girl. "Let us duel when this is more evenly matched, yes? Perhaps after I deal with these horsemen.  That is if I'm not too hurt of course." After talking he stood up from his defensive stance and advanced towards the horseman who dismounted.

Go into attack stance and attack Hayato. Use Elegant Hare technique. Do this after defending against Hayato of course.

Asane & Hayato &  Katsu & Ted

Initiative Order (Stance, Weapons, Armor, Wound State in italics)
Hayato Attack Stance, Naginata, Light (20+5against slower), Healthy (0)
Katsu Attack Stance, Naginata, Light (20+5against slower), Healthy (0) - On an out of control horse! 100 Feet from the battle
Ted Full Defense Stance, Katana, Ashigaru (23+4+2), Grazed (13)
Asane Defense Stance, Naginata, Light (25+5), Healthy (0)
Katsu's Horse Healthy (0) - Out of control! (Will attack AND move on it's own turn), 100 Feet from the battle

Hayato shifts into the full attack stance, and recklessly charges the Akahoshi Samurai! (440(19)9596=43|636389=17|17-1=16) Plowing through Ted's pitiful attempt at a parry, and catching him square in the chest before he can use his training to dodge out of the way! Ted is severely injured by the attack!

Katsu attempts to regain control of his horse, (18647=21) and is able to do so, now that he is well away from the combat. He begins to ride it back, bringing himself and the horse 50 feet from the battle.

Injured, Ted still shifts out of his defensive stance and attempts to strike! (0(17)8949=26) But due to his grievous injuries and Hayato's training, is unable to properly counter the attack.

Asane continues to guard herself, waiting for her turn to engage Ted in fair combat.

Initiative Order (Stance, Weapons, Armor, Wound State in italics)
Hayato Full Attack Stance, Naginata, Light (20+5against slower-10), Healthy (0)
Katsu Attack Stance, Naginata, Light (20+5against slower), Healthy (0) - Mounted. 50 Feet from the battle
Ted Attack Stance, Katana, Ashigaru (23+2), Injured (29)
Asane Defense Stance, Naginata, Light (25+5), Healthy (0)
Katsu's Horse Healthy (0) - Calm (will attack on its own turn, move on rider's), 50 Feet from the battle

Hori
(730(17)=27) You attempt to gain your bearings, and then set off in the direction which you assume the capital city can be found. Or rather, you set off towards the nearest ocean city: The Capital is on a different island.
As you walk, you come across the train tracks running out of and through Sumeru once more. While you were briefly in the village, you had overheard that the train was stalled for a reason that even the conductors did not know. You see now that this is true: A train sits upon the tracks, derelict in the middle of the forest.

Kenage & Oshaberi
"Fleeing into the crowd, Moretsu-sama," the Geisha replies, just as the doctor enters followed by an assistant and the men who had gone to fetch him, "and being pursued by the samurai who had challenged them."
Outside, now that the shouting has died down, you hear the whinny of a horse and the clash of steel on steel. It seems at least one of the Samurai was caught, and is now fighting back.

Ted clutched his chest where the newly received wound was. "I-I surrender. Arrest me if you wish Ryoshun-sama, but this fight is futile. I am not nearly skilled enough to fight two warriors at once, especially when one is on horseback," He stammered as he dropped into a more defensive stance.

Go into full defensive stance and surrender

"Excuse, me. I should only be gone momentarily, but I believe there is something that requires my immediate attention." With that, Kenage leaves the tea shop and heads out in the direction of the noise.

"Thank you for your quick arrival," Oshaberi said to the doctor as he stepped back to allow him to do his work. He then stepped outside to investigate the fighting.

Thank the doctor and hand the samurai over to him, then go outside to investigate the fighting.

Hayato sniffed in disdain. The man had already proved himself a coward by running, but to surrender out of fear, instead of because it was the right thing to do?

'Very well,' he said to the rebel. 'Sheathe your weapons and we will take you to the Magistrate for judgement.'

He waited for the man to do so and prepared to guard him on the way back to the Magistrate.

Ted sheathed his katana but stayed prepared in case he was attacked. "You may believe I am dishonorable and I have no doubt your magistrate does. I may be dishonorable because I lied, but going against a single samurai with two others isn't honorable in the least and I hope the magistrate will see that you are just as dishonorable as I," He said.

Sheath katana. Stay in full defensive stance and be ready in case his opponent decides to kill him.
