The galactic library contains all knowledge in the entire universe and is one of the universes largest structures. It covers an entire planet and is extremely large. Some parts of it haven't been entered for ages. There have been some disasters in it's long history, but nothing it could recover from. The last was the Great fire which starte 56 years ago and it is rumoured that deep down it is still burning. The exact origin of the library has never been discovered. What is sure is that it is that the eldest parts are at least 120.000 year old. This discovery was during the Great expedition, organized by Thomas Carter. After a treck of 3 months they returned. Half the expedition didn't make it, and the survivors didn't want to tell anyone anything. To this day it is farthest expedition into the library, whose exact size has never been discovered. Once you leave the modern zones, communication equipment starts to feel, and you can loose your orientation quickly if you don't watch out. Nowadays these sections have been barred of for your own good.
50,000,000 years ago the Primordial ruled the galaxy, their reign has never been matched and some of our technology is based on theirs.
While they, the Primordials, may be long gone, remnants of themselves remain. While rare and quite weak compared to modern technology, these artifacts have had incredible effects on history.
The reasons for the Primordial disappearance was that one the massive empire became to varied, two they stagnated tech wise, and three their lack of medical technology and the terrorism of some dissidents caused this area of the galaxy to be quarantined.
Wall of the Blazing Sun
A fortress the likes that have never before been seen, the Wall as its more commonly known as, is a naval fortress that spans hundreds of miles in every direction, and is filled with hundreds of city blocks, agricultural-hubs, and recyclers that make the fortress as near to a self-sustaining planet as it could possibly be. The Wall is home to the Darklings, exiles of the human race, the first wave of Darklings started this fortress upon a single asteroid, and since then it has grown to be the massive impenetrable fortress it is today as more and more exiles were forced from the lands of their race, and into the cold reaches beyond. Protected by thousands of Point Defense Batteries, Anti-Ship Arrays, launch ports, and a fleet of unprecedented power, the Wall has not fallen in over two thousand years.

The Saraann
The Saraann, a species of beetle-like insectoids, are a military inclined race, always searching for stronger weapons, more advanced armor and an edge over their enemies. It is this drive for dominance that made them discover the drive engines of the Primordials, quickly advancing into the nearby planets, moons and asteroids orbiting their star once they could, they soon discovered on one such a planet a crashed ship of these ancient aliens, and adapted it's mostly-intact engine for the use on their own ships. With this new technology at their disposal, they became the first real spacefaring race in the galaxy since 50 million years ago.
The Saraann expanded down the Orion arm away from the center of the galaxy like a massive tsunami, colonizing countless of worlds and forging them into an empire.
At least, that was until they discovered the humans....
The two races encountered each other when the Saraann sent a scout fleet to a new star system, looking if it was fit to colonize. However, when they got there, it was already colonized by humans. The Saraann reacted to this discovery the only way they knew. War.
The Saraanni Empress Kah'naar'zani XVII declared war on the alien creatures; mobilizing the fleets and discussing strategies with the war council, then taking the colony by force.
The First of many wars for Saraani galactic dominance began.
Ancient Terra
Also known as Earth or Torra by some, this blue planet was the cradle of the human race, bringing them into space after a Primordial ship crashed but a few million years ago. The strategically isolated location of Sol on the Orion arm protected the humans from rival long enough for them to gain a hold. Though it is no longer the center of the human race, that having shifted well over two million years ago, it is visited by billions each year to look at the origins of the Human race and see their home planet. Environmental restoration has been taking place on and off over the past several million years, and the planet is in excellent shape. On a side note, Mars is also another prime destination for tourists, many of who go to climb Olympus Mons.
The League of Dynam (formerly the League of Nine) is an economic and political union of planets located in the far left part of the galaxy. They are made up of 6 races, 24 systems and at least 1344 nations. While independent, the various nations have numerous economic agreements as well as military alliances. However this is not to say that the states of the League are at peace with each other; in-league wars happen and disagreements on policies and treaties has led to total war and resignation from the League before.
The capital of Dynam is located on the planet of the same name and was colonised for the explicit reason of having an utterly neutral ground for the League. The city, as with all governments, holds several secrets within its self, principally the main base of the Illum Cartel and the Arkan Collective. Both supported by the League and funded as well.
The League holds little Primordial technology beyond ship drives and a nearly functioning Primordial cruiser, which lacks the intergalactic drive the ships were supposedly to have.
