I'm starting restarting
this up again, for real this time! Things will be a little different this time round. This time, you will all start together. You do not need to post each turn, although if you do not want your character following other peoples suggestions you probably should. You can post suggestions if you did not make a character, but the decisions of the actual players will overrule them. One turn will happen every day, or less often if people aren't posting or I find myself busy, or more often if everyone has posted their actions. In game time will pass in days, at least until things settle down to the point where nothing notable happens for a longer period of time. The rules will be more "hidden", so you do not need to worry about that so much.
So, without further ado:
They came down from the skies, like a terrible deluge that washed away all who stood before them. Their magic brought disease, famine, and drought upon their enemies, softening them for the terrible weapons of their armies. They knew no mercy, they sought only eradication. As they cut a terrible swath through the human lands, great armies were raised against them. Mankinds greatest heroes and armies fought valiantly, but they could not stop the invaders. With destruction imminent, the survivors panicked. They fled before the terrible threat, refugees overwhelming the lands that had not yet met the invaders. It was then that some vague glimmer of hope shone in the darkness. They could not defeat the invaders, but they could flee. Legend told of a small mountain pass that would displace those who went through it, sending them to strange and distant locations. Thousands of desperate refugees poured through, fleeing to wherever they could. Roped together so as not to be separated, you know not where the mists will take you. But you know it will be better than the place you left behind.
World of origin: You come from a world in what can be best described as roughly the middle ages, give or take. Electric power is unknown to you. Some machinery exists, such as windmills and pumps, but it is not common. Magic, while real, is a rare and poorly understood phenomena, and wizards are the stuff of legends.
So, to start with: I need four to six players. You must post a bio for one Notable character, who will represent you, and a list of what people and goods you are bringing. Your notable character should have a background and some skills and attributes - Is he a mason? A warrior? Is she strong, clever, charming? Where did they come from?
You can try and bring as many people and as much stuff as you like, but only so much of it will come through. If you do not possess in depth knowledge of an item that you want to bring, you can give me a vague description, I.E. "farming tools".
