Just about half way there. I don't think Carmageddon will smash any Kickstarter records anytime soon, but hopefully they exceeded their funding goal by an appreciable amount.(x2 would certainly be nice.)

Half way to the end of the Kickstarter, Carmageddon has pulled in $307,339, or about 3/4 of their funding goal. I didn't honestly think it would struggle to meet its goal this much, so, spread the word! They need all the help and monies they can get!

I can't believe it has taken me this long to get around to funding this.

The best feeling in Carmageddon 2 was buying the old WW2 fighter plane thingy for a load o' dollars and realising it was an absolute piece of shit to drive, let alone kill anything with. But then you spend two hours bombing around the airfield, driving underwater and doing all sorts of mad flips in to overweight pedestrians and it just doesn't matter anymore.

Nothing matters.

Also, the choice of car is VERY IMPORTANT if you want to do some of the missions in C2. I was playing it a few months back, and couldn't get over how (relatively) trivial some of them were made, just by application of the BUGGA, a car that you wouldn't be seen dead in (ironically) in a more typical slug-fest.

You think you should be driving the TVR Cerbera / BATMAD car, capable of 0-200 in about 2 seconds, but no. Its all about the BUGGA.

I guess mostly because the deformable stuff tends to look a bit glitchy (like if the car roof gets bent over the driver and passangers). But I'd still love to see something of that level of detail.

I loved that "glitch-like"-ness in 2, I hope they keep it. It clearly shouldn't work that way, but it affected nothing in the game and the game didn't take itself seriously anyway, so what did it matter that your driver's head is now poking up through the crushed ceiling of your roof? Or if the car was smashed between two hard objects, it would fold, or break apart, and sometimes the driver wasn't yet killed off/out of the race - half cars and folded buggies driving around. It was awesome.

Just a lil bump, this is your last chance to donate to the Carmageddon Kickstarter. 5 hours and $3k to go, to make $600,000!

Er, slightly confused. Is the tablet/phone version going to be quite different from the PC version?

Because exposing a quarter of a female nipple is considered 18+ while plowing into a crowd of pedestrians with a car looking more like a Ork war wagon with double than normal ammount of menacing spikes is kid friendly.
