Brutally kill time. No mercy to time. Time has killed many things till now. So you shall kill time.

Mr. Clock, you have rudely awoken me for the last time today! Now I shall have my vengeance for all those days of tired eyes and headaches!

Take this you fiend!!!

Farewell!
That evil clock shall cause chaos no more. The world is safe!

...well your weekends are anyways

You're probably gonna have to pay for a replacement for that.

Gaze out the window and think about giant robots.

Suddenly you find yourself thinking about giant robots. You don't really know much about them, but you do remember that during the 3rd war, mechs were built in order to combat the Martian walkers. It worked out pretty well. Only the best pilots are actually allowed to ride them. You consider building one for a moment, but realize that would be kinda silly. You're just a kid after all.

Put cupcakes in the oven so that when our friend arrives we can both relish in their delicious sugary goodness.

You go downstairs to check on the baked goods, finding in a hastily and poorly drawn scene that the cupcakes have just finished baking! Your dad is taking them out of the oven at this very moment. Suddenly you hear a doorbell ring. Looks like your friends are here!

Er...    what were their names again? (The large fellow in the back is your cousin)

Person to the far right is Teresa. He looks very much like a tomboyish girl, and his voice is pretty convincing too. You remember that he almost tricked you into hugging him. Oh, how he laughed and laughed. Except you weren't laughing.

:P

(I must say that Teresa is cute! <3)

Oh yeah now you remember! How embarrassing of you to forget. Twin You are pretty sure that Teresa is a girl by the way. Hopefully. It would be rather awkward if you were wrong. She's also John's twin sister.

Anyways, you were about to open the door so everyone can come in.

Looks like Sarah and her grandfather were the first to arrive. Though apparently everybody coincidentally showed up at the exact same time judging by the scene behind them.

Joseph: Hey Sarah! Hello Professor.

Sarah:*nods*

Professor Martin: Hello lad. Happy birthday to you.

Joseph:Come in! You're just in time.

Sarah: Here

Joseph:Gee thanks! What's it do?

Sarah: Multipurpose

Joseph: Uh okay I guess?

John: Hey dude, here's your present!

Joseph: Wha? Ah!

Teresa: Hi Joey! Nice to see ya!

Joseph: Hi-

Steve: Here, hold this.

Joseph: mmphh?

Gil:...

You feel some amount of pain right now. In order to distract yourself from this, one might want to skip ahead to the part when you open presents. Or you could continue where you are now and pull whatever slice of life birthday party shenanigans you wish to.

(BTW apologies for the slowness and railroading that's occurring. I'll let up once the plot actually starts)

Welp, looks like we're gonna wait a bit longer before the plot

Dad: Joseph? What are you doing on the floor, your friends are here right now!

Joseph: uuughhhhhhhhhhhh...

Dad: Everyone's already gathered in the dining room. You shouldn't leave them waiting. Don't worry about the presents, I already moved them out of the way. Hmmmmm... now that I think about it maybe we should put up some more decorations in here-

A few moments later you find yourself sitting with everyone with a plate of cupcakes in front of you. The customary birthday song is recited with much rejoicing. You all begin to grab your cupcakes and eat and discuss various things.

Steve: So, what's everyone think about that superhero guy that's been showing up on the news recently? He looks like he's around our age.

Hmmm... What is your opinion on this vigilante? You remmember that he hasn't caused much issues with the police yet, and his powers are lightning and telekinetic based

Joseph: Vigilantes are in conflict with the fascist ideals and should be reported to the proper authorities.

Steve: What.

Everyone turns and stares at you.

Joseph: Uh...

John: I'm just gonna assume you're joking.

Steve: Well crazy bits of that statement aside, I gotta say I kinda agree, well the part about how someone needs to make him stop. It's against the law, and he could cause some serious collateral damage if he messes up. And we hardly know anything about this guy, what if he starts doing more than stopping beasts and muggers.

Teresa: Yeah, and it's not his job in the first place. I think he should just stop and let the authorities handle it. He could get himself hurt if he keeps this up.

John: What are you guys saying!  The guy's a hero, he helps people. There's nothing wrong with that. At least he's out there doing some good, unlike most people.

Steve: Seriously? There are reasons that people don't run around just beating up anyone they don't agree with, you know

John: But he doesn't do that! He's only fought in situations where it's pretty clear what's wrong and what isn't

Joseph: Uh guys? Let's not argue okay?

Maybe you should do something to change the subject, you know that Gil has to go soon, so you might want to go ask your dad if it's okay to go open presents now.

(I am a terrible railroading person :(. Bleh, next time I offer something a decision like that, I will actually have sufficient material planned for both choices. Many, many apologies for being such a bad gm-type-thingy)

Note to self, not yet a fascist regime, probably...

Talk about Martians.

You try to think of a way to change the subjects. Maybe something about martians, think Joseph, think!

Joseph: Hey Guys I just remembered, you know that road they closed down over in Lockburg a few months ago?

John: Uh, yeah? I thought it was weird since it doesn't really go anywhere.

Teresa: I thought they said it was being repaired or something.

Joseph: No I saw it on the news yesterday! Someone leaked that they had actually dug up a huge Martian ship from the Third War! And it's mostly intact too, who knows what they'll find in there.

Sarah: Interesting.

Steve: Heh, maybe there's some sort of ancient artifact of Doom. OOOOooooOOOoooo!

John: Ha! And it'll be guarded by some ugly giant beast with like, laser breath and spines.

Joseph: Or maybe, it'll cause all the martians to come back to life somehow!

You all share a good laugh over your silly speculations. Look's like everyone's done with their cupcakes so you decide to go ask your dad if it's time to open presents.

Look's like your dad and the Professor are watching something on the news, they seem to be pretty tense about it

Tv: We have just received word on the situation occurring at the capitol, it appears that it is a co-

Joseph: Dad?

Your dad quickly turns off the tv and turns to face you.

Dad: What is it Joey?

Joseph: Can I open presents now? Gil is gonna have to leave and go home soon.

Dad: Oh, sure son. Just sit down over here and I'll get your stuff.

You head back into the dining room and tell everyone it's time to open presents.

You sit down and wait as everyone gathers around. Your dad shows back up presents in tow and sets them down in front of you.

Dad: Well son? Which one do you want first?

What order will you open them in?

(So yeah, make a decision folks, this is actually important and will effect future events and puzzles. Try to guess which one's contents will be the most useful and place them first.)
