I've always enjoyed reading through the Godhood threads, so I'd like to give it a whirl.

Name of God: Iloende
Titles: Not Yet
Description of Character: Aloof and distant, but pretending to be kind. Iloende believes that the only reason to create life is to watch it die, and thus finds other immortals existence an affront. It has a fondness for long-reaching plots and games of chance.
Spheres: Death
Manifests as: Iloende when it appears in person invariably appears as a man, wrapped in a funeral shroud wearing a plain bone mask. As the folds of the cloth drift it reveals the souls that Iloende has devoured, silently screaming and straining to escape. It however can speak through Barn Owls, which are it's holy animals.
Characteristic Animal: Barn Owl

Name of God: Zantaware
Titles: None
Description of Character: Zantaware is the self proclaimed guide to the afterlife, he is a kind yet pessimistic God who believes that is the fate for all things, but him to one day die. He is caring beyond that of other Gods in most cases, and when angered he doesn't easily let go a grudge even if it is with another god.
Spheres: Souls, Afterlife, Death
Manifests as: Zantaware appears to beings as a young silver haired man wrapped in a black cloak, those living that see him see a simple ferryman, but the souls of the dead see a black mist radiating from him. He gives off a calming aura allowing him to easily transport the souls of the dead to the afterlife as he sees fit.

To the other Gods Zantaware appears as a tall human with shoulder length silver hair, wearing a set of jet black leather clothes, and a wielding a scythe with a blade the color of blood nearly the length of his human form.  His eyes are a light crimson read, and shackles are clasped around his wrist disappearing into thin air, but appearing as if chained to some invisible object.

Death is already taken and you are allowed to take only one Sphere.

Godhood doesn't work on the basis of first come, first take. Instead it is based on how good your character is. So there's no way in which something can already be taken. It's not because someone does something, that someone else can't do it. When you people with conflicting sphere's get in the game, you would instead get a power struggle,with one of the gods possibly losing his sphere.

Besides, these things are based on wide spheres, so you could say that it's just making clear what sphere it exactly is. This would prevent confusion between death(Souls, afterlife) and death(Destruction, carnage).

I know I am not choosing all three just clarifying the sphere (Basically that I have control over souls, of those alive and those dead), also multiple Gods are allowed the same sphere as they may act differently with that sphere but they must compete within those spheres as well.

It's been a while since I've done a Godhood game. I'd like to try it again.

Name of God: Hardrunm

Titles:

Description of Character: Hardrunm is a stoic god, as strong and stubborn as the earth he embodies. He believes strongly in the value of hard work, industry (particularly forges), endurance, and perseverance. That said, he is also a supporter of hard play as well, and thoroughly enjoys a good drink, or a 'friendly' brawl. Work or play, he gives his current task his entire effort and strength. Hardrunm is slow to anger as well, rarely giving vent to his emotions beyond a tired annoyance. That said, he does have limits, and if pushed beyond them, he can become destructive and dangerous.

Spheres: Earth

Manifests as: Hardrunm generally appears as a large, muscular man. His skin is coarse and tanned, and bearing a few scars crisscrossing over his body. His hair is black and scraggly as well, left to grow long and wild. Much of his face is hidden behind a bushy black beard, though two eyes can be seen from beneath a craggy brow, as well as a large nose. The eyes resemble orbs of steel, or sometimes silver, though when angry, they glow fiery hues like the embers of a forge.

Clothing wise, Hardrunm wears a patchwork of tough stony grey hides resembling elephant skin. These are stitched and shaped into a simple tunic and breeches. Along with these, he wears a simple rope belt and a pair of sturdy work boots. On one hand, he is constantly wearing a glove made from a silvery metallic, yet flexible material. It is the only aspect of his appearance that reflects more than just functionality. However, in battle, he wears a strange armor, crude yet effective. It seems to be a patchwork of stone and metal, with occasional crystalline patches. In peace or war, he is constantly carrying a large hammer.

Dear enthusiasts,

I am sorry for the silence in which I let the thread continue for a while.

I had to do a re-exam (for Latin) last Wednesday to ensure that I would pass my exams, which in turn would mean I finally graduate from high school. Regardless- I believe I have done this exam more than well enough, and I can now tend to the thread again. With that matter dealt with, let us get down to business! I am moving the starting date a slight bit. At the 4th of July I will stop taking applications and hopefully the same day, or the day after, announce which Gods will encompass the starting pantheon. This will mean the actual starting date will be later than the 4th of July. On that same day I will also decide the final real starting date of the game, on which I will write (technically; Finish writing. I wrote it partly beforehand this time) an introductory IC post (as usual) and introduce the Gods into this new Godhood.

I also want to thank all of you for your enthusiasm. It makes me feel great to know I can provide some people with something fun to read or even participate in. I want to apologize beforehand if not everybody gets into the game. I will try to accept as many as is possible, but there is still a limit to how much I can manage. I am currently thinking of taking in either eight or ten players.

Name of God: Vénorr

Titles: N.A.

Description of character:
Vénorr cares about three things; Hunting, Honor and Power.
He takes great pleasure in watching brave hunters and adventurers take up arms to fight
fierce beasts that he in his search of the ultimate predator creates.
Vénorr disgusts people that use cheap tricks to beat their opponent or kill others that have no way to defend themselves.
He mostly stays out of mortal affairs, unless they have to do with him or his followers in a negative way,
or someone proving his honor and prowess in the heat of battle or the hunt of a mighty beast.
Most of all, Vénorr crushes the weak and rewards the strong and brave with unimaginable power.

Usually a predatorial creature that lives in forests such as a wolf or a bear.
