I wanna play.  I request that the area not be entirely evil though, that there be a section that is good or neutral where we can put butchershops and a corpse stockpile.

DFHack for fixing diplos, renaming things/squads and other benign uses only.

Try a good region next to a necromancer tower (for fun, undead gnomes or unicorns?) and implement specific goals/restrictions, such as each pit-mining only, or each player must undertake a project, either useful or decorative, potentially above-ground only OR finish a previous players' project.  Or make the fortress a giant industrial farm, with high-density animal populations (must have both grazers and egg layers) and focus on cheese production and leather and bone crafts, maybe only export animal products, with farming being solely for booze and clothing.  Maybe mandate the capture of a necromancer and creation of a undead zoo.

Or if you're really crazy, insist the game embark on an aquifer.

Like those ideas?

Well, I almost have the first year done,
Sadly there is no coal here. should we change areas?
Right now I am on top of a mountain. Its pretty epic,
One of the best embark areas ive had ahaha. Besides
the lack of coal..

Meh, lack of coal is fine. It just encourages us to slaughter the elves.

Hoy I'll join that one. As long as there is booze, mayhem and useless projects involved. You plan to use a graphic pack like Mayday's or Phoebus ?

I can handle all that,
I'm leaving for the weekend, So ill finish up my year and ill hand it off to Babylon.
And when your done we will work from there.
How does that sound?

And its vanilla 34.07 with hack, with what ever crap I might have had left over, My seed
Ill give the set up information when I finish my turn.

So for tonight.. Project ideas?

I started up the base of the fort, With a huge tower that could be built..
I'm thinking, 3-5 floors per year, And one tower/statue/building of no use.

And from what I know about this game. I think everyone here is capable
of understanding my fortress and how it is laid out.If not, Deal with it. Or
 spend the time to re-arrange..
