I really enjoyed playing Xenoblade. I didn't get very far through the game (maybe 20-30 hours in) but I was very impressed by it. Some people hate all the British accents, but I found it pretty refreshing after the initial 'shock' of not hearing badly dubbed American voice actors in this quite Japanese game (as is sadly the norm).
Wait what? People -hated- the accents? If anything, I think British accents fit in more in a fantasy setting than American accents do. Most of the time American accents sound anachronistic in anything but a modern setting.

most fantasy games/films use people with British accents.

normally, american action films and the like use British accents for 'bad guys'

From what I've seen the forums don't seem to discuss console exclusives that often.  It's probably because while the majority has a decent PC ownership of specific consoles is less ubiquitous.  This one (along with Corruption) has been one of the few games I'd consider a killer app for the Wii/Dolphin.  I'm amazed at what I keep hearing about the gameplay/exploration, as I wouldn't have expected Takahashi to be able to pull that together.  The only thing admirers and detractors used to agree on was that the man should be writing novels instead of making games.

I haven't seen any complaints about it.  Most of the buzz I saw called the VA work reminiscent of Dragon Quest VIII.

This looks pretty cool. I have Dolphin, I'll have to try running this.

Otherwise, good luck finding a copy :P

Anyone know how to get a PS3 controller working in Dolphin as a gamepad [I can use this controller for every other game with gamepad-option, from FIFA to Dead Island]? It's breaking my mind trying to figure out how to get it compatible but it's just not doing it for me. :c I'd much rather play this with a gamepad, but I guess keyboard+mouse isn't too terrible..

I used my PS3 controller, so it's definitely possible. I don't remember anything specific about using it with Xenoblade. I use MotionInJoy as the general Windows driver, if that helps.

I can say that with 60+ hours in and still not done with the story, it is probably the best game I've ever played so far. I've got to say that all of you people complaining about getting it on an emulator and debating whether they should do that or for the Wii, it may be HD graphics but remember, if you don't buy the Wii, what's going to fund more games like that? (Plus you get to feel better about yourself playing the game like it should be.)

I have a Wii. I don't know of any stores that stock this game around here, and I'd prefer not to buy things online (it's comforting to actually hold your purchase in your hands).

Well, Dolphin is working now with my setup. Except I'm having a bit of an issue with slowdowns in the game, even though my rig currently far surpasses what is needed by the emulator [and most games..] and this makes the sound very... choppy since it can get laggy for no apparent reason. It's a bit annoying, the game's pretty fun already though. I enjoy it.

On the dolphin forums, you can find a hacked dolphin release specifically made for Xenoblade. It seems to be an older version, but it really helps with the annoying sound issue.

Edit: The Dolphin wiki is a good resource on emulating Xenoblade. Link to the Wiki

Pretty mad. Just downloaded the '30 fps' update for the game and it was running a bit better, and then I'm
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

but now every time I try to play the game through Dolphin, it just crashes right off the bat. SIGH. :| Talk about suspense. Damnit.

Buying the game funds more games like it, and I feel better running the game on my PC where I can have better graphics, more functionality, and fixes/patches for any problems the standard game might be shipped with, that console users would be otherwise stuck with. ;)
