Since we inhaled its spores and we're now glowing...I think we already did.

You have the idea to do certain...things to the mushroom, but as it isn't sentient, it really wouldn't be the same. You do, however, grab a piece of it, which breaks off easily, and rub it all over yourself. You now have a glowing paste all over you.  You head upwards, the glow from your body illuminating the cave just enough to navigate. You reach a chamber where some ambient light is present, and see a pit filled with writhing shapes embedded into the floor. There appears to be no other passageway. Steeling yourself, you jump into the pit, and emerge in a flooded tunnel. You swim out , noting with satisfaction that you don't actually have to breathe. When you surface, you find yourself in a bog, with a forest of tall conifers beyond in every direction. The glowing paste is mostly gone, though some remnants are still floating around you. You turn your mind to more cosmetic issues. You look with distaste at your skin, feeling that perhaps a different shade would be better. You concentrate very hard, and your skin lightens a bit, but you are too winded by the swim to make any substantial changes.

Ingest all of the nearby creepy crawlies we can find. Make sure we swallow them whole, so that when the time is right, we can vomit them up in a sufficiently terrifying fashion and have them scatter about everywhere.

You decide to head east, walking through the forest. The soil on the ground is wet and infested with small animals, which you grab and eat as you walk along. They're obviously quite high in protein, but they really don't give you any sense of satisfaction. Your real craving is to eat something that looks like you... You continue walking east until the forest ends. You see a while off in the distance a small building, with a few plots of tilled land nearby. You don't see anyone at the moment.

(As to the skin thing, I'm setting this in Denmark. Non-white skin would grab a lot of attention, and skyrunner wanted less conspicuous skin)

You walk up to the hut, noticing that a plow has been left buried in the field. There are scorch marks on the wall. You enter, and see a mutilated human corpse, its head removed. Not much remains in the house but a bed and a chest that were evidently too heavy to carry. Based on how the man's fingers are bent back, something was probably wrenched out of his hands as he died.

You attempt to mate with the dead body, but with his being dead, and your having female characteristics, it doesn't go so well. Instead, you eat him. Suddenly, you feel like something has changed. There is some different aspect to your abilities, but you can't quite determine what it is.
