Regulations Concerning the Control of Communicable Curses
I: Classification of Communicable Curses
I.I: All curses, hexes, jinxs, magical diseases and/or ailments which can be transfered from one creature or object to another shall be classified under the previsions set forth in section I of this statute.
I.II: The following table shall be used to classify all curses and other afflictions for the purposes of this document.

B | Any magical affliction which transfers class B afflictions without increasing the total number of cases. | A curse that transfers to the next person you kiss. |
C | Any magical affliction which spreads class A or B afflictions. | Cursing a statue to turn anyone that touches it into a gorgon. |
X | Any magical affliction which spreads class X afflictions and increases the total number of cases. | Most forms of vampirism and necroanimation. |
II: Regulations on Communicable Curses
II.I: The unlawful use of class 0 and 1 afflictions are not covered by this statute, instead falling under the heading of assault, manslaugher, justified manslaughter or murder as appropriate.
II.II: Any person intentionally or negligently afflicting another person with a class A or B curse without their consent, or who indirectly causes the intentional or negligent affliction of a person with a class A or B curse through the use of a class C curse, shall be subject to a fine not to exceed then thousand dollars (10,000$) and shall be required to provide the required treatment to remove or reverse the curse, or else to pay for said treatment by a skilled professional. In the event that a cure is not possible, or that the perpetrator is unable to provide for the treatment of the curse, said perpetrator shall be imprisoned for a time not to excced three hundred and sixty six (366) days
II.III: Any person intentionally or negligently afflicting another person with a class C curse without their consent shall be subject to a fine not to exceed one hundred thousand dollars (100,000$) and shall be required to provide the required treatment to remove or reverse the curse, or else to pay for said treatment by a skilled professional. In the event that a cure is not possible, or that the perpetrator is unable to provide for the treatment of the curse, said perpetrator shall be imprisoned for a time not to exceed thirteen (13) years.
II.IV: Any person intentionally or negligently afflicting an object or non-person creature with a class A, B or C curse without the consent of the owner of the object or creature, if any, shall be subject to a fine not to exceed one thousand dollars (1000$) and may be forced to pay for the repair or replacement of the object or creature cursed at the discretion of the judge.
II.V: Any creature afflicted with a class X curse that is unable to prevent themselves from spreading their condition shall be imprisoned until such time as their curse can be reversed or, at the discretion of the judge, enrolled in mandatory education classes or destroyed.
II.VI: No person or organization may own more than five (5) class X cursed objects or non-person creatures without first securing a special license granted by a majority vote from the Council of Archmages. Any person found in violation of this section shall have all class X cursed objects/creatures in their possession confiscated and/or destroyed by representatives of the Council of Archmages, shall be banned from owning class X cursed objects/creatures for a period of five (5) years and may be additionally subject to fines up to one hundred thousand dollars and/or up to thirteen (13) years of imprisonment.
II.VII: Section II.VI shall not be enforced until one (1) year after the passage of this statute into law, in order to provide persons owning class X cursed objects and/or creatures time to dispose of excess goods and/or to apply for appropriate licenses.
Section III: Regulations Concerning Mystics.
III.I: Mystics shall be held exempt from sections... II-II through II-IV, on the grounds that entering into an agreement with a servant of the realm of secrets amounts of implicit consent to be cursed should other agreed upon payment be withheld.
