Also, I vote we spend either next turn or the turn after to do the road king job. It's only got three 'days' left before it's gone for good. Then we'll have to put up with yet another faction getting in the way.

You need to get used to it. We can't do every job. And I have a very large bonus to certain actions for only. I dunno. One or zero more turns depending if the session counted against that. So I will not be spending it not learning.

Cript, there's no need to snap at me like that. I never said any of us absolutely had to do it, I was making a suggestion. We don't do any out-of-session jobs, which is bad considering the only real alternative for money is chores, which are low paying and aren't on a timer.
And if you hadn't just skimmed the post, you'd have seen that the suggestion was to do it in one or two turns. It wouldn't have interfered in your learning at all, you thing, you.

Anyway. What use is money? I don't need any more. Do you? What I do need more of is power. Advancement. Not money. And the important point there was the fact that you seem to think we need to or should do every job. Which I am pretty sure is not the case.

Doing jobs is the quickest way to power and promotions.
And unlike you, I'm actually in need of money. When I said I'd build the spell room myself, I wasn't kidding. I'm going to need a lot more than 15 grand for that. Right now, I figure doing jobs with a few of you other guys is going to earn money the fastest. There's also the bonus of jobs potentially making us stronger, or upgrading our spells, or something useful like that.

And the wording of your post was filled with irritation and impatience. I assumed you were snapping. I used similar language in the second "paragraph" of the previous post, so I apologize.

I'd personally recomend doing the chore for that building company. They'll probably get you some on-the-job training in magical construction spells which you can then use to build rooms on the cheap instead of contracting for it.

Manipulation is soul magic. It has absolutely sod all to do with construction. That said, most mages appear to be able to 'branch out' and pick up spells from other schools without much difficulty. And you'll never know if you can or not until you try.

You can't really comprehend my thought process. Any task that can be made simpler, I prefer to make harder. Even if it's already impossibly hard to start with. I don't even need a big reward for it. For instance, I'd send Emlyn off to fight an army by himself and with no weapons if Haika or Weird said they'd give him an enchanted pocket watch for doing it.
