@WS: Minor Problem, the money you made me spend there put me into debt. :P

I suppose novelty stall Demons take credit cards?

The inventory update I read said you had enough. Lets just say you have $122 left.

Would be Lillipad Weird.

I know. What I posted was a direct paste from a Haika PM where he tried to figure out your mods Stream of Concious style. Since he read your turn before Lilli's he had to guess.

OOC: @WS: I spent everything on the Hell Rifle last session, got $600 pay for the Hell Prison escape, and $600 for the beach job. $-2500 puts me under. Thanks for the save.

---------------------------------------

Kathryn watched Henry sleep-all those horrible wounds...they would pay.

She was scared for him. If they had killed Henry...

...still, she was also quite pissed. Her heart called for Revenge...but, she couldn't strike the smirking coward now, not while he was encircled with followers. The next best thing was taking out the informant. His time would come.

"...someone ratted us out." She told everyone that night, at dinner. "Ruffian wouldn't have gone after us unless he was sure. Might have been a Were, might have been something else...

I'm going to find them, and send a message back to Ruffian of our own. Anyone who wants to come with me, you're free to tag along."

3 Hours/Helping Henry with the pain-attend wounds, make him a good breakfast, keep him company, and talk to Kestrel about how to magically cure the brand mark on his forehead.

9 Hours/Taking Personal Job

Woman on Fire: Kathryn's looking for the slime who ratted on them and got Henry nabbed-using her PI experience and connections among the were-community. She'll send her own message back to Ruffian.

(+1 Were-connections, +1 Personal Revenge, +5 Time, +1 PI Experience, +4 Body, +2 Int)[/b]

3 Hours/Attending Beach Party, Surfing for  [exercise] (+4 Body, +1 Fun, +1 Time)

After the day, Kathryn really need to hit the waves, calm her nerves...maybe she could find some solace.

First, a personal request: Please don't hurt Piddles. I'd like to try to tame the little tyke. He's just rambunctious!

Second, a question to the GMs: Do I know what the strength of my own soul is?

Third, Turn:
1 hours: Get Kestrel to tell me about my new mystery condition and why I'm turning green.
4 hours: Sail down the Styx to visit the Styxian Crossing for a Hell Shopping Trip. Attempt to sell the astral dragon soul. Minimum acceptable offer is 20 dubloons, but ask for 40 initially and haggle from there. If I have enough after the sale, purchase an artifact blueprint. I'll also take requests from the other mages, if anyone wants me to pick something for them in Hell. +0 time, +2 Intutition, +1 focus bonus (Frankie knows what a soul's worth!) +2 "Good lord that's a big soul" bonus, -3 for difficulty. 1d100+2
1 hours: Attempt to convince Kestrel to let me borrow the that moving van we used to loot Jagen's place. Failing that, rent a moving van myself.
6 hours: Find Piddles; attempt to convince him to please get in the van with me. Repeatedly say that I'm not mad and that I forgive him for biting me. Use said van to transport him and the little bears to the seed shop. Hear what the owner has to say about all this. As before, buy what he suggests buying, up to 500$. If Piddles feels guilty for what he did and goes peacefully, the the mods are +2 time, +4 faith (to avoid showing fear to the bear) +1 guilt bonus, +1 van bonus and -5 "smuggling a bear across california is hard" penalty for a total of 1d100+5. If he's still hostile, then I'm using the Emerald Wand on him and it's +2 time, +4 connection, +1 van bonus and a -8 "oh shit a bear" penalty for a net of 1d100-1

Spoiler: Inventory Update (click to show/hide)
Also, I'm assuming that I've been keeping the books in my room until we find a place to keep them? If so, here's the book list.
Spoiler: Books (click to show/hide)

E: Corrected Piddles' gender.

Bears should be potty trained if they're going to live indoors. And he bit me first, so we're even.

You do not. You do however know that the standard for humans is the 2-3 range, with mages going up to 4 or very, very rarely 5.

I'm not trying to force anyone to show anyone how to heal. I'm trying to experiment with different things to see what does what. I am specifically aiming to find what I can use to heal through trial and error, primarily because I don't know how to go about studying it IC.
And I was trying to learn advanced comprehension and reading skills, that was my logic behind including the mundane skill.
Why does time add a mod to reading? Is it because I'm trying to develop a mundane skill? I can accept it if that's the reason, but I would otherwise like to know.

Turn post will be up later.

I think I figured out what you were doing with the learning and added those back in. I'd rather not nitpick difficulty mods. From here on out I'll let you guys decide what kind of difficulty mod is fair for your action. I think Haika has a guideline to use in the first post.

If Lilli and Crypt can get turns up, and Tar can calculate his mods, I can at least roll and perhaps even write another turn tonight.

Also, how would you guys feel about trying d80s for a turn or two? Smaller dice to go with our smaller mods. Crits on natural 1, 2, 79, 80 and any -3 down or 83 up.

Well, the new system is too confusing for me to add in any mods so... :/

It isn't that hard. Just look at the information on calculating Stat mods, Time mods, and Dificulty mods on Haika's second post. Then feel free to add +1 for any mundane skill, focus, or limitation involved. Then you may add 1's or 2's for any items, motivation, location, flavor, ect that could help you complete the task.

All there is to it.

I don't know, I think the new system is a bit too reliant on interpretation to be comfortable at this stage. You GMs have to interpret the rolls while interpreting our actions, and I think there's a bit of dissonance between player and GM with that.
For example, I succeeded in my roll by a very modest bit, but it was interpreted as me advancing Adrian's condition for some reason. All I was trying to do was give him a magic massage with the possible bonus of a temporary boost to the immune system. For some reason the difficulty was ramped to very hard, and it wasn't viewed as trying to cast a spell at all, and I can't understand why this is so. To me, this might as well have been a crit-fail, even though I succeeded.

Mathmatically speaking, this does the following to our rolls:
-Each modifer is worth 1.25 times as much as it is on a 1d100
-The base chance for criticals increases to 7.5% per roll from 6% per roll
-The value of a reroll decreases from 16.3 to 13.5 or so.
-The net modifer required to alter crit chances decreases from +/-8 to +/-6

None of which would translate to any significant change my strategy.

6 hours: Research own powers(knowledge/intution +2)(time +2)(mystery theater +1)(difficulty: hard -6)[-1]
I don't know much about my magic or how it works. Before I go turning people into vampires again, I should probably research it first. I at least want to know healing properties, and the different resistances to raw magic humans and elves can have.
4 hours: attempt to dispel the ward on sword(connection +4)(faith +4)(knowledge + intuition +2)(difficulty: hard -8)[+2]
I don't particularly care about the sword, but being able to dispel wards and seals, or anything similar could be incredibly useful.
2 hours: Continue learning them reading skills so you's can English good. Like what I do.(knowledge +4)(time -3)(difficulty: nil -1)[+/- 0]
Maybe reading in my recently flooded room was a bad idea... Too many floating things... I'll be doing all my reading outside my room from now on...

According to the job clock, we only have one more turn after this to get Carpetbaggers done. We should all devote the first six hours of our day after this to getting that done.
