As far as I know, nothing Adrian makes has a soul or deals with souls. Admittedly, I've never checked, but it doesn't seem like it. In fact, he seems like the most unspiritual person on the team.

Kathryn had her mind repeatedly fiddled with, but her soul is pretty much intact. The mind and the soul have a software/hardware sort of relationship going on in that regard; having a soul is a prerequisite to having a mind but has no other effect as long as you have the minimum quantity of soul for a given mental state.

Henry currently has two souls inside of him, but nothing he does actually consumes souls, be they his own or someone else's. And he's getting that fixed, so it hardly counts.

Emlyn and I are the only ones that have anything really going on with souls, and in Emlyn's case we don't know what is actually going on.

Hit-List 1: (5 Days Left) Sapphire and Kestrel have identified several mages in the LA area looking to seize power for themselves. Align with, intimidate, talk down, or kill them all.
Hero Time: (5 Days Left) Without Archmages around to keep such behavior in check, the mundane and good looking people of LA are now under the constant threat of being snatched and sold to some foreign Archmage or Demon lord. We have located a large multiplanar Mail Order Bride/Slave service opperating out of the local airport. Shut em down.
(New) Deal of the Century: (7 Days Left) After winning the Battle of Castle Glory Mr. Travis' forces captured some of Ruffian's men. The prisoners claim that Ruffian will be meeting with Fitzpatrick the Lucky, leader of the Boston Archmages in a few days. We could crash this party and kill two birds with one stone.

San Deigo Jobs:
(NEW) Bajahahahaha!: (13 Days Left)  The neighboring Baja Peninsula Magic Society has been trying to seize San Deigo as their own for some time now. The lack of Archmages to stop them is worrisome. Kill off some of their scouts and spies to make them think twice about a full scale invasion.

The lack of consumption of a soul doesn't necessarily mean that things we do are entirely unrelated. You seem to have misinterpreted what I was saying.
And as for Adrian, his AI are basically little, digital souls he made. He's trying to figure out how to take them out of and put them into things, and if he succeeds, there's almost no difference. So instead of saying that he's a tinkerer, he's more of a creator of souls, still retaining the penchant for life ruining. So he's technically the most soulful(how is this a word, Firefox?) of us all.

Except not. Souls are not some abstract thing like they are in real life where you can philosophize if a robot has a soul or whatever. They are actual measurable things. Which he does not deal in.

I'm not saying a robot has a soul. I'm saying that if he learns to take an AI out and put it into things, then that's virtually the same way the souls work in this game. The only difference being that souls have "power levels" that allow for segmenting, and the AI would just be a single thing.

Let's run the computer-soul metaphor into the ground:

Your body is like a computer case. Your soul is like the hardware mounted inside the case, in that unless a manipulator (ie, a computer technician) has ownership of your soul, then they can't do anything to your soul safely, for fear of the IT department (the gods) coming down on them like a flaming pile of pain. Your mind is like the software that runs on the hardware of your soul, in that it takes input from your senses and outputs commands to your body. Minds are also like software in that telepaths (computer hackers in this metaphor) can do all sorts of horrible things to your mental software without ever touching your spiritual hardware. Getting killed is like if you were a robot and someone shoots you and knocks your hardware (ie, soul) out of your body, making you shut down until someone (say, a necromancer) puts another soul into you, maybe your own, or maybe the soul of some random demon that's going to be used to turn your body into a zombie.

Now let's take a look at my spell list:

Exorcise: This spell points at a chunk of hardware that's been moved out of its home server room (their native plane of existance) and makes it explode due to unfavourable conditions in the local server room (the plane of existance you're on now).

Doom Seed: This is like loading a computer virus onto a floppy disc (ie, a seed) and then trying to get it into the disc drive of the computer in order to screw the computer up and possibly take control later on.

Condense Soul: This is like collecting the smashed up spiritual hardware from a broken computer, repairing it and putting it into a cardboard box (read, soul gem) for later. The mental software is still in there, put until the manipulator "boots up" your soul and looks at it, they don't know what's inside. This spell also also allows you to build a basic bit of spiritual hardware out of ambient spiritual energy (the spiritual equivilent of pop tabs and chewing gum scraped off the side of the road), if you spend a few days working at it.

Arielblast Soul: This is like taking a hunk of hardware you have in a box somewhere, running a magnet over it to format the drive, installing the OS that your own soul is running onto it and then uploading a basic copy of your mental software onto the soul.

Condensed Soul Conversation: This is like plugging a hunk of hardware you found into your computer as an external hard drive and then reading the contents to figure out what it used to belong to. While useful, this is generally a terrible choice if you have weak antivirus (read, spiritual defenses), as you might get something nasty done to you.

Simple Soul Insertion: This is like installing a peice of hardware into a computer. If you plug everything in correctly, the soul will have control over the body and can animate it. If not, it just sits there and does nothing interesting. If there's more than one peice of different hardware in the same computer, they'll all have joint control or not based on how things are hooked up. Unless I have a specific spell otherwise, pretty much all I know how to do is plug things in at random until it works.

Spawn Succubus/Plant Pixie/Plant Jungle Imp: These are the main exceptions to the "Ariel doesn't know what she's doing when putting souls into bodies" clause above. I known how to make these, if I have the correct parts (humanoid female/pixie seed/imp seed) some hardware (souls) with the correct software (6 souls of chaotic or evil/some chaotic or good souls/some chaotic or evil souls) and the right workshop conditions (a bathtub full of blood and potions/some dirt/some dirt) to complete the job.

Soul Drain: This is the spiritual equivilent of making out with the robot security guard while reaching around with your other hand and stealing random wires while the guard's distracted by the kissing.

What Adrian Is Probably Doing With the AI: This is like making little clockwork soldiers. It isn't related to souls (computer parts), but it can do alot of the same things if you're really good at it.

Let's drop the souls issue for a while since you two seem to be taking the AI=soul remark a little too literally. Let's actually discuss something relevant for once; jobs.

Cript, you want to do Hero Time since it's apparently urgent. While I don't particularly care about that job, and would rather it be done through forum turns, I'm going to vote for it too. It won't get done in the forums unless we're somehow forced to, and it's almost certainly going to introduce another faction if we don't do it, and I'm sick of that happening. We've got Boston, Travis, the biker gang, werewolves(kind of), and an unintroduced faction in the Bajam Sandler job to deal with. We don't need slavers to scramble the plot even more.

I'm not particularly worried about Hit-List, even though I probably should be. I'll probably put off having Emlyn go autopilot so I can do that job in the forum, if anyone wants to help.

So, the way I see it, we do Hero Time and Deal of the Century in whatever order, and then Ruffian's crime ring is mostly dead, and we can point to that as an example whenever we do the later "get foreign mages off our turf" missions.

I distinctly remember it being "whoever scores a kill in this fight". But, either way, it's enough to make me think that Ruffian's either behind the slave trading or allied with whoever it is. Maybe it's Dust?

You misunderstand. ">Whoever scores a kill< gets a starlet >after we take over LA.<" This doesn't necessarily mean that there aren't slaves to rescue from Ruffian's group, but I doubt they have enough of high quality to form a multiplanar mail order bride service.
