If anything like the stone giant is in the next few jobs we do, I'll need to be prepared. My strongest offense is the aqua whip, so I'll need that prepared.
8 hours - ritual spell development: Centipede's Memories
The Skull Centipede was something dangerous at one point. The lady who gave it to me never said exactly how dangerous it was, but did reveal that its entire species was erased because of it. If I can call out even a small part of its original form, or even a younger iteration of it, then I'll have a powerful spell on hand.

        -place the Skull Centipede in the circle, and have it face west
        -cover the Skull Centipede with right hand while standing behind it and focus magic into it until the moon rises

        -hold the Skull Centipede in the left hand, gently toss it forward
        -while midair, order it to release

Carpetbaggers: (5 Days Left) Three Archmages from the Boston Magic Society have arrived in town looking to take advantage of the situation and claim power for themselves. Show them, by any means nessescary, that saving California is Ms. Sapphire's job; not theirs.
Great Escape: (1 Days Left) Palorur The Blender was a powerful local mage sealed away in Tartarus, one of the hells. Sapphire figures that if he can be sprung from his infernal prison, he can help restore balance and order to the Southwest.
Nipped in the Bud: (2 Days Left) Without the local Board of Subhuman affairs to keep them in check, the local Were Being population is planning a huge coming out party for the next full moon. That cannot be allowed to happen.
Special Job: Surfs Up: (7 Days Left) Extra dimensional jocks, bros, and frat boys have figured out that this region is a lawless wasteland, and are throwing a huge beach party/surf contest in town. While this job is active, anybody may work on the beach as a supervisor for 100 USD an hour. For each three hours spent at the party you will encounter a luck based random event.

The roll there was a 2, you only get aura on natural 1's and 100's in the forum mode. Only during the session do you get it for every crit.

how he got it: The Skull Centipede is a mysterious artifact gifted to Harman by the woman who taught him the basics of combat magic. She taught him for three days before giving him the artifact before leaving after teaching him another four. Within those four days, she refused to teach him anything about the Skull Centipede other than that it was made from a powerful demon's soul and that it wasn't to be trifled with.
After his initial teacher left, Harman had two others that had no idea what it was.

trinket(default) form: In its most basic and docile state, the skull centipede takes the form of a small, dark, metal trinket. It has three fanged, jawless humanoid skulls in place of where its head would typically be, and has five segments of centipede-like body with two sharp, right angle legs on each segment. At the end of the last segment is a small ring in case the user wants to wear it as the pendant to a necklace.

ring(special) form: Depending on the finger and hand being used, the Skull Centipede takes different ring forms. Only the right index finger has a form currently.
Ri: When worn on the right index finger, the Skull Centipede retracts into the middle skull of its trio and takes on a fairly standard ring shape, the only oddity being that is a fanged skull.

original form: In its original form, the Skull Centipede was said to be an incredibly dangerous, incredibly large demon that could even dwarf giants. Similar to its trinket form, the Skull Centipede's original form is depicted as having three massive, black skulls in place of its head. Its body has no consistent depiction, but based off of its trinket form, it is believed to have been something akin to a centipede's.
There is no official name for its original form, as the Skull Centipede was sealed away and never documented. In order to further hide its existence to the modern world, the archmages of the past destroyed the entirety of the species it rose from, with the benefit of preventing another.
