The racers are now reaching the bridge. Adwarf ,Jack, Connor, Dariush and Jim play it safe, but the others decide to take some risks.  Tyrin [6+1-2]easily navigates the Pylons, flying between the various cables and supports.  [4+3-2]Ahead of him Toaster and his strange machine are trying to catch up with Monk who is carefully navigating the pylons. [1+2].

Adwarf manages to speed up a bit, gaining ground on Max and Scelly before him. Above them Tyrin is picking up speed, trying to avoid falling back. Far in front of them Scelly is attempting to break away, but an illtimed move delays his escape. Max takes advantage of this to catch up, while behind them a sonic blast is heard as Dariush dives from the skies. While he doesn't manage to get much speed, this manoevre will prevent him from falling back anytime soon. Toaster however, is still unable to get his engine working right, but is at least picking up speed. Monk drives carefully and maintains his current speed while Luke is slowly picking up speed.

In an attempt to defend his first place, Scelly fires his missiles at the Armadillo. The missile[3] barely achieves a lock [3]. The explosion is powerful [6-1], though not strong enough to damage the armor [8+2]. [4]It does punch a small hole into the bridge though. Luke meanwhile acceses the military targetting data, warms up his cannons and fires.[4+1] Adwarf's drone defense system is not turned on but clever maneuvring [2] manages to prevent a critical hit. The shots hit [7] but only do a marginal amount of damage [6]. The bridge takes a good beating though.[5]

Suddenly the air is filled with electricity , and lightning sparks are jumping from Pylon to pylon. [4,3,6,2,1,1,3]. Adwarf is hit badly, slowing down tremendously. Tyrin gets of better, but not by much. Falling back is now again a threat for him. Scelly however takes the worst damage, slowing down to near standstill. Max gets of much easier. Monk and Toaster are in a good position to take advantage of this development as both only slow down a bit. Luke takes a hit too, but nothing he won't be able to recover from.

Stricken by the EMP, Jack slows done tremendously and falls back to the third position. Max surges forward, ursurping first position and preparing to break away soon. Adwarf,scelly and Monk end up in together in a small clump. Toaster manages to pass the camera car, while Luke,Tyrin and Dariush struggle to prevent falling back.

The racers are now entering the canyon, where land units will be unable to pass each other.

-Razor sharp wings: Does damage equal to speed/3(Cap:20). Targets dodge and armor roll are subtracted from this. If the result is negative, apply damage to user.

Army saboteurs: Can submit any hazard to the GM(including location). The Gm will need to put it in. (Rebalancing may occur). Sadly you can fall into your own traps.
Harpoon gun [Range: 40, Energy use: 20, Acc:D6 Allows you to drag yourself forward or the enemy backward for 10 tiles/turn. 20% chance of linkbreak/turn. Also broken when out of range.  ]

And...I thought Dariush's EMP was limited to his area?


The Banshee wove through those Pylons like a hot knife through lead, pretty much easy when the material was of titanium, steel and aluminum. Flexible, and made even more so due to the fine matrix weave around it.

Then, a familiar roar encompassed the craft. Tyrin swore as he pulled hard on the throttle, avoiding a crash into a nearby pylon. He remembered that sound. That damned sound.

He cursed as the Radar detected everyone in front of him. Well, it was time to turn to plan X, then.

-Yup, I know. You can shoot it if you want.
- agrresive driving gives a -2 to dodge rolls
-Current speed is 10. The EMP hit you quite hard and combined with a not that great arceleration roll
-Nope it's not. There would have been a limited dodge penalty but I scrapped that to balance it.

Section 2: The bridge: This magnificent hover bridge used to be the pride of the circuit. Now it's falling apart. ( 2 ways: the bridge or the pylons).
-The pylons: Requires a dodge roll. 2 or more needed. (Failure= Fallback). Unable to be hit by anyone on the bridge (Though you can hit them).
-Bridge: Use the bridge like normal people do. Sadly it's quite unstable, and being attacked on this section might cause it to collapse [21/30]

That one only counts for weaponry and some abilities.(Ie those with a range determined). The EMp is circuit wide.

(I always wanted to put in an ability that my Armadillo's old tech, therefore immune to such high tech wizadry, but it'd be a waste of a whole roll most of the time. Nice to get off lightly for a change. It always seemed to hit me before :P)

''Dariush...'' Connor said that name quietly. ''I'm surprise noone ever hired an assassin with such an intensely frustrating piece of technology.'' He got back to the task at hand. The Armadillo was in front, and entering the canyons. He had to keep his cool, though, especially after that hit. It hadn't caused damage this time, and the Armadillo was very well armoured, but Connor knew to take chances was folly. ''I need to pull away.'' He said, as the engines revved once more.

Can we please get more detailed information about speed? I.e. speed at the beginning of turn, amount of acceleration, how much did special effects like EMP shave off and so forth?
I'll add the exact numbers next turn. Can't remember them now. Btw the speed at the beginning of the turn is the same as the speed at the end of the previous one(-25%).

For Scelly it was 90%. The numbers at the EMP thingy follow the order of players in the action list

Toaster swore at his engines as he thundered into the canyon.  Things weren't going his way.  He examined his options, and slammed his fist down on the button to surge ahead as fast as possible!

Just as his fist came down, the buttons changed order again.
