What kind of music do you like to listen to while you play Adventure mode, Fortress mode or both?

I like to put on "In the Woods" the Omnio Album

Comment here and share your DF Playlist.

I'm weird and mostly listen to Les Miserables and Phantom of the Opera musicals while playing DF, I dunno why.

I usually listen to whatever is on my playlist, or the default mandolin.

Excellent music, but also kind of weird for DF.

While adding magma to anything will make it dwarfy, adding the word "magma" to your post does not necessarily make it funny.

Baroque classical. Maybe some Bach organ works, maybe some Vivaldi. Anything that suggests complexity and structure.

DF default music.

What's weird is that the volume is always off.

Adventure mode doesn't even have music.

But it still plays...

Until you have watched your fortress crumble to its end with somber religious chants playing in the backround, you have not experienced Dwarf Fortress to its fullest.

I have a playlist of Clutch songs I usually listen to when I'm gaming. When I'm in a more relaxed mood, something symphonic (1812 Overture, Ride Of The Valkyries, Vivaldi, etc). When I'm in a substantially *less* relaxed mood, on goes the Nile, Hate Eternal, and Whitechapel.

Leeet's do the time warp agaaaain!

Aside from that, however, I do listen to quite a bit of Erik Satie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HP6pMGOFN3o&feature=related whilst playing (Who knew?)
I rather think it fits Dwarf Fortress somehow.

Imagine you're driving a car. Push the gas pedal to the floor. Close your eyes. Remain this way for ten minutes while turning the wheel at whim. This is Dwarf Fortress.
I don't mean to alarm you, but it appears that your Dwarves are all in fact elephants.
