((I am not certain that your previous mech was inappropriate. I suspect that the "no assault 'mechs" comment was an appraisal rather than an instruction. Unless I am mistaken, the group is allowed a single Ares and nobody has called dibs yet...))

I'll wait for the GM to clarify, then. I'd prefer the Blood Asp, if I can have it.

Basp is fun.
Anyways, I'd be up for a long-range engagement. Just want to freakin' Calliopes rainin' hell on me, and it's good.

well, assume One Assault Mech a Lance... I said be REASONABLE

"The locals will assist us when they can. Yes we get to keep what we find, provided its worthwhile, and No companies. this is a deniable op. any indication any of the Inner Sphere were involved, war is sure to break out. And with the Clan's and their Domination Zone..."

And i see no harm in two blood Asps...

Matt approached quietly. ''Sounds like a job.'' He said, affirming his presence. ''When do we ship out?'' He asked with professionalism.

I'll stick with the Basp, then.

Mal nodded as the speaker went on, and as he left, pushed up and walked out himself. He had a few debts to collect before leaving this world.

Get to the ship.

"Sounds good. I'm on my way."

Go to the dropship and bring my 'mech.

Nikolai lights his cigarrette, takes a drag, then states rather flatly:

I'm fine with my placement. Shields are just bullet sponges, hell, I've done that enough to know how to not die.

Nikolai finishes his cigarette, then oversees his mech being loaded into the dropship.

Time for one vodka or two. One... two? Hmm.

Nikolai retrieves a flask from his pants and then retrieves a small glass from his jacket. He decided that one cup would be enough.

Can't pilot for shit when I'm sober anyway. Hope no one has a problem with it...

Nikolai has boarded the ship.

Alright you two. Attempt to murder each other. Last one standing gets to participate in the next test.

Matt moved along solemnly. He was much more used to having everyone else doing the talking. This silence was normally his forte. Then again, he was used to a mercenary group that had been together for all their lives. This was his 5th foray as a single merc for hire, though this was the first time a group had formed where noone knew each other.

As Matt got into the dropship, he had an hour to kill. He passed by the man that had first agreed to this. Matt had managed to figure out it was the guy that piloted the Wraith. War was a dangerous place, so it was always good to know who you were trusting your life with. With that in mind, Matt decided to introduce himself.

''Name's Matt Drecht. I pilot the Vulture.'' He held out his hand for a handshake to the man. ''Figured it'd be better to know who's our comrades before the guns start firing.'' He added, barely changing facial features.

Hugh watches the others leave then follows suit. Staying in his 'mech as the dropship launches.

after two hours, the DropShip took off. There, Joshua stood in the cargo hold.

"Everybody listen up! I have three rules. One, don't tell ANYONE who we are, or what we do. secrecy is our armour, and I intend to keep it. Two, Minor shennanigans only. No swapping guns or such. And three, NO MECH DANCING. Are we clear?"

"And if our opponents start dancing we are supposed to just stand and take it?"
