And I remember that about you.

I didn't know you were that ancient. I've seen much of this forum's populace come and go over the years, though. It's nice to see the retention rate of this place is higher than most forums, even with the rather large changes to how things worked once VN was gone. [I remember how huge amounts of the population was on here simply to post on VN since the waiting between versions was so long for a time. Things get chaotic when B12 gets bored.]

It saddens me that I'm literally old enough to be father to half this forum.
(And given what I was up to back then, it's not entirely implausible...)  :-\

Thanks to my nephew and him playing the next generation versions of games I used to play in middle school (like Crash bandicoot, for example, or Spyro the Dragon), I already feel old.

On the bright side, when he plays the games I used to play, he quickly learns that the games I used to play didn't let you off so easily as his games do regularly.

When he's old enough, I would like to show him the new X-Com game, and compare it to the original. Plus, when he's patient enough to do macro and micromanaging in games, he'll have to appreciate the awesomeness that is X-Com and Master of Orion, and other games I used to play at his age.

I guess another thing that makes me feel old is playing my old PS2 and XBOX (and some classic PS1 titles) while their next generation versions are already a few years old and are about to get another update in the upcoming years.

All the people in here thinking they're old, and still being teenagers are making me feel like I could go check into the retirement home already. Being, as I am, one of the last joiners of an ever dwindling secret society group of people; People Who Were Born in the Eighties (or PWWitE, for short).

I mean, soon we will have people born after the turn of the millennium come here saying that they're feeling old.

Meh, I'm pretty young. And I at least pre-date the dissolution of the Soviet Union. Though I must admit I'm surprised at the amount of teenagers on this forum. But maybe that's just me being 20-something who assumes everyone's a 20-something in the internet. I had the same thing back when I was a teen, everyone else was a teenager as well unless otherwise mentioned.

Actually, I default to the same thing, despite being a teenager myself.

I'm old enough to have used a typewriter on a few of my early school assignments. I've met kids a decade or more younger than me that don't even know what a typewriter is. Also, I'm only 25, what the hell.

I know what a typewriter is, but have never actually seen one in real life.

I think the Kindergarden room in my old elementary school had a working typewriter.
I don't think I've seen one since then.
