I'd have to say Shade-o's Cobalt Fortress was my favorite forum game. Adventure Guy and Don't Trust the Rainbow Snail are up there at the top too.

Cobalt Fortress: An RPG/Simulation game of a dwarven settlement.

Adventure Guy: An illustrated suggestion game about a man known only as Adventure Guy who solves puzzles as he makes his way through a ruin.

Do Not Trust the Rainbow Snail: A surreal illustrated suggestion game which starts when the titular rainbow snail bursts into the main character's room while he studies.
On an unrelated note, I've found that the glow effect doesn't work for some reason. This makes my posts in that thread have much less impact.

On Bay12, there was a couple of amazing ones that just stopped being updated. One was that you were a nanite, and in the other you were a freelancer alchemist.

Are you referencing You Are Alchemist, my Forum Game? In which there was bolding, and horse poo?

I am sorry for abandoning it. There was too much horse poo to handle.

EDIT: The Rainbow Snail was awesome, though. World Balloon, wot?

Rainbow snail, Elves of Amanareli were (are?) great, and I can't believe the non-stop running Space Voyage hasn't been mentioned.

Peasant adventure (prequel to earlier named "potash maker quest") was also great.

Oh, and treasure is a lot like treachery was fun to do.
