A Neo-Nazi shot and killed at least four people and then himself in Arizona a few hours ago.  The police found a fair amount of likely explosives in his house.  He's not exactly an obscure figure in Arizona politics either.

More to come I suppose, don't need to be putting out anything unconfirmed, but holy shit.

Eh, not trying to diminish the horribleness of the situation, but this isn't exactly like a huge story is it? I mean, there's probably a gun homicide in Arizona on almost a daily basis.

If this guy had any brains he'd link himself to that Norwegian loony and his alleged holy order or whatever. He'd cause ten times more of an upset that way. Thankfully I'm guessing he's too stupid to think of that.

But then I'd feel like a dick for having said so, because yeah, it sucks, but everyday you hear about lunatic outsider militia groups, you imagine this guy, all swastika'd up and owning enough munitions to...do this I guess.

Ticking time bombs that shouldn't surprise anyone, and should at least be watched closer than others. I don't care if that's profiling. It works.

To be honest, I'm surprised that stories like this are as rare as they are. There are a fair number of far-right, apocalyptic, and survivalist groups in the US (note that while the overlap between these is high, it is not absolute), and I'd think we would see violence from them more often.

Like with many things, my sense of morbid curiosity makes me wonder what Alex Jones thinks about this.

S'about what I was implying. If there isn't some sort of political/religious/serial killer aspect to it and none of the victims are well-off white people, it might make the "Local" section of the paper(s) in the place that it happened, if it isn't a large city.
