I read it, every new update. here PTW :P there now you know I'm reading it every update haha

Most people don't like to post. Take Regen for an example, I just released an Alpha Version for DF 34.10 and noone has posted about it, altho the number of views goes up.

Sometimes I read, and I'm out of Ideas to add. So I don't post anything cause, well what can I post?

That is true...

Hey, has anyone started a succession game with this mod yet?  I may make one, if no one else creates one.  I will wait a while, though.  I am a tad iffy on making one, since I have dial-up internet.

Succession games with big mods usually don't go very far. I doubt that anybody but you would start one, just because they'd be using a mod that not many people would be able to relate to.

I did not know that.  But first, I would need to fix some things.  Such as an animal that will grow in less than a year's time to provide food, and fix the annoying claw bugs that still exist.

You can have an animal be born full sized, just by giving them only one body size token that reads [BODY_SIZE:0:0:(insert size here)]

Yuo could also make it something like;

[BODY_SIZE:0:0:(insert minimum size here)]
[BODY_SIZE:0:150:(insert maximum size here)]

to have them grow up jsut under 6 months (168 days) after birth.

So the second tag is months.  Is the one for plump helmets in the raws?

wut? @_@

No, it's (BODY_SIZE|<year>|<day>|<average size>), as taken from Toady's notes in Creature_standard.txt for the dwarf entry.

ok then. No idea how you jumped to plump helmets, though. :P

Also note that the body size tag does not represent the age at which they will reach sexual maturity. That is the [CHILD:x] tag, where x is an integer representing years, with a minimum of 1. So even though your animals will be fully grown at six months, they will still only reach sexual maturity and stop being a child at 1 year in age, which will make it difficult for players to be able to tell whether an animal has been around for 6 months or 2. The CHILD:x tag is also necessary to get them to breed in the first place.

It seems that it is no matter in world gen.  I don't think that the dragons in my mod have that tag.

I asked about plump helmets because I wanted to create different species with the same grow time as plants to provide a food source.

Make them a form of monotreme, maybe a giant echidna of some variety, that lays large eggs in large clutches (5-6), say 10000, and make their body size upon hatching also 10000 or slightly under (because it would be weird for the contents of a container to have identical volume to the container itself, implying that the walls of the egg are infinitely thin.) That should be big enough that they'll provide a few meat at birth. If their adult body size is something like 200000 and they grow to that in about 2 years, but still mature in 1 year, you'd have a good, constant food supply compared to animals like cows and horses that breed slowly.

I had a dream about this mod. I dreamed that you added people with laser swords. Who may or may not have had brown cloaks/robes on. Huh.

Are you suggesting I mod in Jedi and Sith?

*Eyes sparkle* "I'm not the only one that has watched Farscape :D" yes I have watched it. I got all seasons and the final two movies that finish it up.
I even started watching it again, 1 every night before bed (tonight is episode 4 season 1)

and jedi would be simply "trained" dwarves/humans/goblins (darth maul lol) I don't think slayers or dragons should hae jedis lol that would be weird
