That's unless you have seen "If Bay 12 were a Mountain Hall" in the dwarf-mode discussion board.  That jumped twelve pages at one point!  Recently jumped six!

I encountered a mummy in adventure mode that refused to attack me. Even when I knocked it into the wall with my claws. Dragons are so big they can send things flying now.

Good Find!  Has anyone else played adventure mode using the dragons, and figured out how to use fire breath?

Firebreath is balanced by being slow as a rock. Unless your a Dwarf Dragon. Also, Frost dragons do not, in fact, breath frost.

Frost dragons do not, in fact, breath frost.

I might be able to help there, but of course they might have the chance to kill the warmer dragons, unless all dragons have a very low COLD_DAM point on all their materials.

ZTG you know how to make freezing breath attacks? If not I'll help you with that.

Since I didn't know what was needed, I just put the breath attack temperature real low.

Anyone have any ideas?  I'm clear out!

Spoiler: Ice Breath Material (click to show/hide)

Creature Interaction:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Ideas:
Make it so normal rock can be gathered like clay (or special clusters know as "(stone name) heart" like "Granite Heart" and you can gather as much granite you want from it through the Kiln and using the collect clay command

Make it so dragons need to eat a special plant to use their fire breath (I know your getting data from the "hand-book" (one of my old friends had that very book) but maybe certain dragons have to eat "Fire pepper" to use firebreath lol :P)

Issue with ice-like dragons using the "dragon forge/furnace" they don't have fire breath :P

Also I'm doing a test to see if I can get two differnt emmissions from one interaction "Ice shards and frost flow"

How would the extraction like that work in reality?(@rock gathering)  Besides the dragons and the magic, I want to keep this as realistic as possible.

And how would I get the fire breath from plant to work?

Oh, and I found out that, for the fastest speed, you want to have your embark have as many young/small dragons as possible.  [SPEED:350] is the lowest I am willing to go, because there is not much improvement on the larger dragons past that point.  I also changed the size of dragons so that the full size is attained at age 150.

Note: That size for frost, european, ect. is the max of the megabeast dragons.

Can someone help me figure out why the dragon forge won't work on mining claws to convert them to regular claws?

@ rock collection
I believe you add
[MATERIAL_REACTION_PRODUCT:FIRED_MAT:INORGANIC:CERAMIC_EARTHENWARE]
to the rock's material, like "inorganic_mineral.txt" drop it in a INORGANIC stone and it should allow you to gather it like clay. I'm doing tests on this now but the desired testing object is hard to get to, might just cheat and place in on stone right now. And test it.

Fire breath from th plant would be a INGESTED syndrome (if you got the little wiki package I sent you, look in the Syndromes section)
and the useage of a CE_CAN_DO_INTERACTION

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

As for conversion of mining claws to normal claws (im assuming a weapon) then this:
[REACTION:CONVERT_CLAWS]
[NAME:turn mining claws to normal claws]
   [BUILDING:DRAGON_FORGE:NONE]
[REAGENT:A:1:WEAPON:ITEM_WEAPON_DIG_CLAW:NONE:NONE] --- Should grab any digging claws from any mat.
[PRODUCT:100:1:WEAPON:ITEM_WEAPON_NORMAL_CLAW:GET_MATERIAL_FROM_REAGENT:A:NONE] --- makes regular claws out of same mat as above.
   [SKILL:??]

P.S. did you get what I emailed to you?

EDIT:
Ok maybe I was wrong about the rock collection. Maybe the [IS_STONE] tag disallows that. I guess make small clay like clusters that appear in stone, that can be harvested like clay, and turned into stone at the dragon furnace

That's what I have in the raws!  Check and post what you find there, it should be the same!

Ok what is the reaction name, I got "item_claw_dragonic_civilization.txt" and "reaction_dragonic_civilization.txt" open side by side

Your turning a weapon into a tool? is that what your doing?

Ah I think I found it, all your reactions (or most of) use this for the conversions:
   [PRODUCT:100:1:TOOL:ITEM_TOOL_CLAW:GET_MATERIAL_FROM_REAGENT:A:NONE]

you have no ITEM_TOOL_CLAW

you got ITEM_TOOL_BASICCLAW

And I might be able to work with your armor issue too

Spoiler: dragon clothes (click to show/hide)

"Dragonic Sunstone Perfector"

So that's how those dudes in Oregon get ahold of such amazing sunstones! :P

Also, for your forge and smelter buildings, you could instead use "Metalworker's Station" and "Smelting Cauldron," respectively. They'd still be unique and representative of the fact dragons do not need to use external fuel sources, especially if you model them appropriately with the building's ASCII tiles and their cosntruction materials, such as using a metal cauldron and a block (to form the mold for the bars) in the smelting cauldron's construction and only an anvil and a block (to contain water to cool the metal) in the metalworking station. I'd imagine that without the need for outside fuel, a dragonic smithery would look more like a sweatshop, with dozens of anvils and pots lined up in rows in a tight space. You could use 1x1-1x3 dimensions for the buildings, which would further reinforce that these guys don't give a flying fuck about safety or any infrastructure for containing flames, as they have all of that in themselves (including fireproofing) and only need a hammer and anvil or a container for molten material.

Actually, if your forge and smelter buildings were remodeled like that I may well use them with the dragonman civ in my draconic beasts mod. If not, I will make some as I described for use in my mod, just because I realized I never paid attention to them as I should have and neglected to take note of the fact that they can breath fire, every bit as hot as that of vanilla dragons, but are still using fuel.

Also, nice to see you noticed my draconic beasts mod. It's seriously ancient though and I only used those detailed body tags before I found out that body size scales linearly with age until the creature reaches maximum size. It IS useful for defining growth curves, I suppose.

Do Dragons currently use picks?
Because if they do, they should totally have a digging gauntlet, or a metal mouthpiece to bite the rocks(???).
Or drills. :3

Just one question: Shouldn't it be Draconic?

Otherwise, the current breadth of this project is overwhelming, amazing.
