I'm sorry that I am updating so fast, there is nothing else to do at my house, but mod.

You're serious or joking? You are sorry for updating this?

Come on! This is what everyone wants; Modder that updates his mod without whipping him :P

EDIT: Sorry for double post :(

It's just I think I am updating too fast.  I don't give people a chance to get past a year or two before I update.

Do Dragons get strange moods?

All I got is one Dwarven civilization. Which is at war with the Dragons. And the Slayers. At the same time.

Yes, they do get strange moods.

The dragons might be the exiled, and the slayers are supposed to be ones that anger all people, because they snatch children to increase their numbers.  They used to be respected until they had started fighting the peaceful dragons.  Then there was a long war that ended with the slayers being exiled, and the situation as it is today.

Alright I just tested it again, and indeed, the error occurs from setting a stockpile, it seems, I make a general purpose one to start with to store stuff, and they all run,g rab stuff to put in it, but never then go to carry it there, so they are permanetly stuck with -no job- afterwords.

Downloaded and looked at the dragon raws, Dragons lacks [EQUIPS]. First I thought it could be a lack of GRASP bodyparts, but you would have been spammed with "cancels job: too injured" but I also don't know if lacking EQUIPS will mess up Hauling.

This is what I get for not testing it too thoroughly.  The only times I tested it thus far is when I was checking if the claws worked, and if the buildings could be built and contained the reactions.

I'll check if [EQUIPS] was the problem and post a bug-fix.

Anyone got any ideas of where to get this going towards?  All I have will only get the mod to v.0.7, and that is pushing it.

EDIT: The poll is over!  The winner for the name of the dragon-specific metal is FIREBRAND!

IMPORTANT

Wasn't [EQUIPS], might be [CURIOUSBEAST_ITEM] instead, or both

I have discovered that when [CURIOUSBEAST_ITEM] was removed, the dragons would store items in stockpiles!  Adding [EQUIPS] may have helped, but I am not sure.

Ah I forgot to check for CURIOUS_BEAST_X, it can cause issues. But equips allows for armor/clothing, and I think weapons??

I had thought you made the creature from scratch, or atleast picked certain parts to copy.

Also remember newest version of DF fortress creautres get bad thoughts about having no cloths on their Upperbody(ies) lower body(ies) and feet.

I originally copied the dragon mega-beast raws, but it slowly evolved into what it is now.  Especially when I added the castes.  It appears that, [CURIOUSBEAST_ITEM] does allow them to pick up items, they will not put the items back down.

Also remember newest version of DF fortress creautres get bad thoughts about having no cloths on their Upperbody(ies) lower body(ies) and feet.

I am trying to get the armor as the default clothing. :P

EDIT: Don't forget the new poll!

EDIT 2.0: I'm posting the bug-fix now.

EDIT 3.0: Bug-fix has been posted.

First World: Medium 125 years of history. No friendly Dragons.

Second World: Small 125 years of history. No Slayers or Dragons.

Third world: Medium. 5 years of history. Dragons at last.

So, I guess I need to take down the multiplier of dragonbane down from 50.

What would be suggested?

10,
50 my god you could kill a dragon by taking off your dragonbane boot and simply throwing it at the dragon :P (might even make it explode violently, making a new brand of small dog kibble)

did you do at least some quick arena tests with dragonbane? Lol

EDIT:
Also I thought my ABS was useless now with the new update. Not true, when you want limb like bodyparts that don't grapple the hell outta things.

You can't rename beds to be hoards, but you can add a reaction "Pile hoard" which takes random gold things and makes a bed.

Ummm, no.  Well, at least it wasn't 1000.  Can you imagine something like that?

You can't rename beds to be hoards, but you can add a reaction "Pile hoard" which takes random gold things and makes a bed.

Well, I was hoping to have it be a constructed building that allowed you to make something with the characteristics of a bed, but named a hoard.  But, if I am going to make it a reaction, I would use gold coins.  They need to be useful for something!

EDIT: @Hugo- I made it only allowed for weapons.  It's dragonbane, what use would dragonbane armor have?

It was a silly example I made :P but it would be plausible if there was dragonbane armor lol

But yes at least it wasn't 1000, a Slayer would be the end game invaders for sure. They could put clowns to shame. Well at least make breaching the clown car more appealling

It would, if it had that multiplier on everything, not just dragons.  On other enemies, it is just a weapon with the strength of steel.

But the goal is to play as dragons :P not other races. Also I voted for the buildings, you could rename 'Nest Boxes" to "Nest" or something simlar, so married female dragons can lay their eggs (unless you went with less micromanagy live births)

and a new furnance: Dragon forge
would require alot of fire-safe materials (dat hot dragonbreath)
and can do every smelter job without the need of fuel. Also where FireBrand can be made

I always like to imagin 'Sunstones' and 'Moonstones' have magical properties (I read "the seveth tower" by Garth Nix "sunstones" and played "Dark Cloud 1&2" for moonstones)

so maybe sunstone gems and moonstone gems could make special metal/items?

I always like to imagine 'Sunstones' and 'Moonstones' have magical properties (I read "the seventh tower" by Garth Nix "sunstones" and played "Dark Cloud 1&2" for moonstones)

so maybe sunstone gems and moonstone gems could make special metal/items?

The Tasmanian dragons have live birth, but I will need to put in the nests.

Do you have any ideas on where the sunstones and moonstones would be located?  Maybe the stones could be used to improve Firebrand to something like "Sunbrand", "Moonfire", or something like that.

EDIT:  It would probably be dragon-smelter instead.  I already have a dragon forge!

They are in vanilla DF already :P

Spoiler: raws from vanilla (click to show/hide)

could make the vanilla ones be like "flawed sunstone/moonstone" then make a "perfect sunstone/moonstone" that acts like star rubies/saphires

[INORGANIC:SAPPHIRE_STAR]
[USE_MATERIAL_TEMPLATE:STONE_TEMPLATE]
[TILE:15][IS_GEM:star sapphire:STP:OVERWRITE_SOLID][DISPLAY_COLOR:1:7:1][MATERIAL_VALUE:60]
[ENVIRONMENT_SPEC:SAPPHIRE:CLUSTER_ONE:1]

and "perfect sunstones/moonstones" could be used in the making of firebrand? say the breath of a dragon, tears of solar and lunar to make metal of firery earth? Im not too good with Lore things, unless it's the Story im writing.

And thinking about it, I don't think dragons would need weapons? Well maybe,
