(So, a bit on how spells work. The library in MtG is now the spells you know, and mana bonds you have previously established with lands, bonds with previously summoned creatures etc. You start with a few spells at once you remember and have imentally prepared, and drawing is searching your memory for a spell. This doesn't require a roll, but doing something fancy like trying to get spells does)

You stand under the black and in the horizon annoyingly light night sky, with the stab wounds under your damaged tunic throbbing angrily.  You had got into another pit fight for the money this evening, and it had turned from a brutal spear fight in which the man much bigger than you dealt out two nasty stab wounds to a rout when you obliterated him with a spell from your new Book of Destruction. The audience had come to expect it. You didn't get a lot of money. 30 coins, you think as you turn the pouch over in your hands. You'd gone for broke buying that spellbook and now the only result is 30 coins. It's near worthless!

Still, you're getting funny looks from some of the people on the street. They see you handling a pouch, they go for you, no matter how meager your money is and no matter how much effort you poured into getting it. You grit your teeth in annoyance as a man in broken bits of gold walks out from the street. This particular one you know, he's got gall to be walking around in gall but he does it anyway because he's strong. "Hello, child, I've noticed the money you've got there. You should let me have it before anything bad happens." You do not have time for this.

Atheraze sighs before grinning savagely.

"Too late, bad things are happening already! Look!"
He points to the other side, trying to get the man to fall for the oldest trick known by humankind before attempting to pierce the man's chest with his spear, twisting it afterwards (and causing enough pain in the process for the robber to give up or just outright killing him).

Edit: Not taking chances since he is strong now. I doubt he'll be stopped by a pierced leg, so death it is.

"Hey steve." You speak into the air.
>Yes?
"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

You sit in your study room, humming as you read about the earliest history of the kingdoms of Bant. It's sort of upsetting how there's a sudden gap before the kingdoms were founded, but maybe you'll be the one to figure out why, on one of your adventures! ...You wish. Your adventures are fun, but they haven't resulted in much, really. It's too bad, you'd love to make history like what you study, and even though you have an angel as a protector and training from a famous knight, you haven't had much of a chance to capitalize on it.

You pause in your thoughts as you hear the sound of something being knocked down upstairs. You live alone here. Who could be upstairs? How would they get up there without you noticing? Wouldn't they have to open the door? (And that door always has been a loud one. You'd notice if they opened the door.) How could they... The window! They got in through the window up there! And don't you have your treasures from your adventures up there?!

That'd be fine. Your turn might be kinda rushed Tiruin but probably not because these intros don't take too long to write, but I'm trying to get in about an hour of game time with a friend before I leave at 4:30 for my first FNM.

Irania closed the tome she was reading, confused on the source of the noise. It may be just another one of those giant rats lurking about, or maybe a stray bird? No. There wouldn't be such things that could knock over anything up there.

So she decides to glance out the window for anything suspicious, then heads upstairs to check on whatever is making that noise!

"Who's there? Show yourself! I'm armed and know how to use my weapon!"

She would mentally hit herself for saying that later on, it didn't sound threatening at all!

You toss the used spell-learn charm you've just finished using up and down in your hand as you stalk the swamp you call home. You are a changeling who takes the form of a boggart but with the (modified, of course) mouth of a vampire bat, and you rather enjoy it. In fact, you're stalking around for prey right now. As you quietly sneak around, the sound of rustling enters your left ear and you jerk your head to the side and see an elf. Ah, wonderful. It doesn't appear to have seen you. Elves are delicious, and you take a delight in killing the fools.

You slink to the ground, and crawl, with the elf not seeing you through the dying undergrowth, and approach. The elf, hearing slight sounds of rustling of vines, snaps to attention, and looks around, with its hand on its ear. You pause for a moment. Do you continue forward and risk letting it hear you, stop and risk letting it get away, or do something else? You had better hurry with your decision in any case, for the elf takes out its spear and begins to dart away.

Con crawls forward as fast as he can and leaps at the elf. He uses Nameless Inversion on the elf as he attacks.

The Journal of Sandra of Ulm Volume 4

Days after Father's death: 1

My previous journals remain hidden in the compartment behind my laboratory, a waste of paper, as the last one was not nearly full yet, but i digress, my halfbrother has banished me from the family estate. He is the rightful heir to our father's possessions and without a will to our father's name i have to find other ways to persuade him into giving me back my life.

Days after Father's death: 3

Today i witnessed a Werewolf attack. The cathars around seemed a bit more helpless than usual, which worried me a little. This would have not been noteworthy if it didn't give me an idea, combining the brute strength of a skaab with the resilience and ferocity of a werewolf body would create a truly magnificent killing machine. A few days before father's death i bought the laboratory of Theodora Glick, from my knowledge she was killed while researching werewolves. However she resided in Gavony, and my name is not worth much there. Since the news of my expelling from the family has not traveled far yet, i will gather some resources and travel to the border between kessig and gavony, as that is the place where she, for whatever reason, chose to build her laboratory.

Days after Father's death: 14

I hate traveling rations, that is all.

Days after Father's death: 17

I have finally reached the town nearest to the laboratory. Nobody here seems to know me, lest for the local food merchant. I checked with the local cathars, they actually have most of her worldly possessions stored away. They asked if i planned to continue her research into a possible cure for lycanthropy. As the best lie is blatant truth i answered: No, i am planning on crossbreeding a lycanthrope with a skaab.
It got quite a few laughs, although some seemed a bit nervous.
After a little paperwork i finalized my request for her bequest, as in fact it is property of the Ulm family due to her high debt to my family.
The cathars asked if i planned on live in the laboratory and as my funds were dimnishing i asked if anything would stand in the way of that. One of them agreed to escort me to my destination tomorrow and a courier is to send the supplies and Theodora Glick's bequest after us.

Days after Father's death: 18

I have arrived at the laboratory savely, but the courier is nowhere to be seen. The cathar that agreed to escort me is getting nervous, too. We will now proceed to scout the area for traces of the courier.

We found the courier, under assault, by a werewolf of all things. Luckily i prepared a spell just for that and banished the creature from existance. The courier was a mess. Several bitewounds. Thinking of his wreched state disgusts me, however his wounds already started to regenerate, and the woven blessed silver blanket, no doubt one of Theodora Glick's possessions was sizzling against his skin. To the cathar those were clear enough signs he was turning into a werewolf to warrant a mercy killing, however i stopped him from smashing the couriers head, as i needed a testsubject anyway. I used slightly different words, of course. As the courier was unconscious at the time i had the cathar bring him to the laboratory and bless a silver cage to imprison the soon to be wolf.

You're out gathering resources for your experiments, namely some wolfsbane. You stoop down to pick up a plant and as your hood falls off, you notice it's really cold out, and your mind snaps from the plans and plants to the rest of what's outside. It's darker out then you thought it was, and as you look up, the full moon is starting to reveal itself. Oh no, oh no, oh no why didn't you check the time?! You breath out a little. Not being calm is not going to help you stay human.

You look around, and can see your laboratory to the north. it's a few hills away. But you can feel it coming over, oh no, oh no, you just have to make it back before anyone can see you and it's not like many people are going be out at night, right? ...Except for the cathars. Like the cathar patrol you can see in the distance beginning to take their shift. This could turn out veerrrry badly.

A tattered page:

"... knew it was poisonous, but my best bet at the time was to use it's effect to subdue the wolf just long enough to get inside. I just needed to make sure to eat a bit of coal later on to cleans the poison from my intestines otherwise ..."

Sandra takes a bite out of a wolfbane, puts her hood back on and walks back to the house quickly.

(Sorry about the loooooooooooooooooong wait, I'm having a bit of trouble trying to start a RTD and a mafia at the same tim when I'm not that reliable of a game-runner. Also I had typed a post up here before, lost it, and ragingly gave up.)
You set up your podium in the northeastern courtyard, one of the few areas still unaffected by the... problems that have been plaguing the land as of late. But even now, you have to make a living. So you get on and start a few flashy illusions to warm up your show before calling out about your illusion show.Hopefully you get some profits today, your money has been dwindling as of late...

An arrow flashes by your head. You see a small mob of men at the southern end of the square. One with a quivering bow, who obviously just fired at you, screams "Your kind are probably the ones that got us into this! We won't tolerate you gallivanting it around in public!" The others nod, mumble, and begin moving. Their weapons are bloody. Oh dear. Today just got more complicated.
