I will attempt a distraction. Pass paper to other cell?
there are a couple options here, 1have one cell distract the guards while the other attempts to pick the lock with a paper clip 2 use the rubber band to launchand knocksomethingover distracting the guards, possibly combine with1 Any other ideas/have picking skills?
I can pick the lock, but I need a minute or two to get the tensioner bent in to shape correctly.

Have the other group distract the guards while I pick the lock in here. If we can get them both in there we should be able to get out of here quickly and overpower them between the eight of us.

Tsuchi also observes the guards relative positions to each cell, average hostility, and tried to scope out whether they'd care if he died right then and there.

If Gunner is in front of Our Cell, They Want Us Dead
Wait a bit. Shift changes are fun.

Suggest distracting Mr Tazer with a "fight", move so much it's hard to aim. Hopefully take his tazer and taze Mr Gunner in the chaos.

Consider distracting Mr. Gunner with a "fight", possibly have one guy stand in the shot so that he'd have to come in the cell.

Excitedly suggest we act now and get that tazer. The gun going off probably wouldn't hit... probably. We'd have time to get out and we'd have a gun.
