Wait, are we saying that's a kickstarter done right?  Really?  Fucking really?

I kind of agree.
I guess I just don't get it.

Yeah I first saw those in that SMBC comic. I thought it was a funny idea. Didn't realize its an actual thing.

What a waste of money.

Eh, it's a niche product that will really appeal to a specific audience. It seems to have found that audience. So, I suppose that it is kickstarter doing things right, even if this particular product isn't something that is going to appeal to most people.

It's a niche market funding itself. Sounds to me like Kickstarter done right.

I still agree that it seems rather silly.

But that's the beauty of it, imo.

Time to revive this thread.
A few days ago, the makers of the rather famous and insanely great shortfilm The Reward released the pilot episode to the series based off of that shortfilm: The First Hero. They have a kickstarter so they can make the other episodes here. They're already halfway to their goal.

Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

Don't forget to watch the other one. If that's the level of creativity they can maintain, I think I might just go and support my first kickstarter.

I watched it too.  It's kind of a prequel to the one linked, and there's a few other short ones.

And I already backed it.

Dwarven blood types are not A, B, AB, O but Ale, Wine, Beer, Rum, Whisky and so forth.
It's not an embark so much as seven dwarves having a simultaneous strange mood and going off to build an artifact fortress that menaces with spikes of awesome and hanging rings of death.
