The observational scan has showed that there are quite a few planet wielding stars around you. The observatorium is unable to get more detail though and there's also the question of how the get there. Possibly solved by the discovery of that the Pratkatchian engine blueprints are jumpdrives.

It has a thin atmosphere with oxygen. Barely intelligent stone-age squirrel-like life-forms are beginning to form towns across its surface. They agree, however some of the ships remain in orbit. According to them these don't need repairs. They tell you full repairs would most likely cost 10 IC, and 5 metal. However they say they'll be able to patch up the ships for much less, only 4 IC and 2 metal. They also show you some of the goods they can trade and mention that they would like to buy some supplies too, if possible.
