SalmonGod, I did read your earlier review and was only asking about the visual aspect of character creation (hair style, hair colour, clothes, etc., but thanks for the wealth of information you've given, surely that took some effort to write up!

And I do agree with you about the combat in Torchlight 2 being the most satisfying out of the three (other two being Diablo III and Path of Exile). Sort of remind me of Titan Quest, which made me feel every finishing blow was really that powerful.

I will say.

Smacking someone and turning them into an assortment of red stains and quivering chunks feels pretty good.

I love it. So much. The beta's been spectacularly fun to play, and I really can't wait for the game to come out.

Playing some more Elite Hardcore tonight... I just fought Mordrox.  I was with two people and both died within 20 seconds of the boss showing up.  It probably took me 10 minutes, 20 health potions, and a dozen instances of being brought to less than 10% of my health, but I survived!  Damn intense.

We shall play together once it's out.

I may be using the mage or gunslinger.

I could chip in towards a 4-pack if anyone else is interested, but I don't have the $60 to outright get a 4-pack.  If we're rounding up money, I could get the 4-pack if people sent me money or something.

How about I just give away 4 copies? Any ideas for a quick contest? Or should I do a random draw?

Randomly give away copies to all users starting with G and ending in irlinhat?

Would you really want to generate a thread full of escaped lunatics with random letters in between G and irlinhat?

... well, it'd be kinda' amusing, I guess.

I'd be up for a 4-pack deal and also adventuring with a group!
-that is, if I don't win the random draw  :P

I agree with SalmonGod's summary. I played the beta this week-end and I had a blast. For this low price tag it's an instant buy for me.

I'm up for a 4 pack too, of course in case I don't win.
