I would say a single tile being worked on by a single 'worker' ship would take a day to complete. So three workers on a tile would take .33333 turns to complete a building, I suppose. I'm probably going to change my mind / think up something better, but it's this for now.

A poll is going to go up about whether you like the 1 hour turn, the
5 hour turn, or the day turn. I'm curious about how touthink the pacing is.

Deciding factor should be how long things take to build. I've seen orders be issued for things to be built but I haven't noticed anything be completed yet. Current pacing feels fine, but I think we'd rather not have to wait a real time week for a building to be built.

Exactly- turn length should be based on what's going on at the time, so when it's fast-paced, like right now, we have one-hour turns, and when things are calmer, we go to longer turns.

Yeah, I think the pace depends on what we're doing. If we're waiting for the crops to ripen or something, hour-long turns are going to be too slow. If we're slowly exploring a dangerous landscape filled with ambushes, day-long turns might gloss over too many details.

Incidentally, can we transmit to the entire fleet, or does it have to be a specific target?

If you read turn.. .2, I think, you can see the Imperial ship transmitted its ultimatum to the whole 9 fleets.

Also...turn edit: I just realized that lumber clippers are the construction ships, not merely gatherers. As such, I've changed:


* Dispatch lumber clippers and one ship with medical facilities to rendezvous with Solana Malokov's fleet. Aid their wounded, and join them in harvesting operations once they're taken care of.
 * Construction ships are to begin work on a ship construction and refit facility.

Captain Tatarev was speechless, it have only taken a few hours before conflicts had emerged. He had the closest fleet in range, he had to do something.
"Everyone to battlestations. This is not a drill, prepare to engage hostile forces.
However, he still had a crucial decision to make. Who to side with....
"This is commander Tatarev to Azalyn Kementari, we will flank their fleet and hopefully neutralize their fleet without to much casualties on either side. I do hope I am doing the right chooice here, I assume that you won΄t kill any civilians, nor hurt the royal family? Tatarev out."

All frigates, battleformation. Follow me and attack the imperial ship. All frigates (And Dragonfly) will:
Priority 1: Take out there main guns.
Priority 2: Move into boarding position.
Priority 3: Take out any remaning guns.
Boarding party, prepare to engage hostile forces. Move and secure the bridge.
Artillery, start firing ASAP
Arcane ships, try to reduce enemies shields.

Transmission to everyone: I suggest we all share scout reports and map-data, is that acceptable?

//I think that 5 hours per turn is nice, if not day per turn. As far as I noticed, we have magic and kind-of advanced technology, so it would be easy to build something in one day (5 turns), I think?

Except for the fact that this never happened.

I was assuming that that will happen a few moments after Azalyn Kementari opens fire. I might be wrong, Kementari might be able to destroy all their cannons at once, although that chance is quite small. We are doing turns by the hour, of cource. I could react a few moments after Azalyn opens fire.
