The fleet travels southwest, as fast as the slowest ship allows them to go. The scouts, cruisers, dynamos and the Riftsailer scout out the area, and then return to with the fleet. One scout goes to meet up with Sergej and propose an alliance.

No post yet (not at computer yet :3), just a reply to Bucket.

*I actually just averaged everyone's avatar's colors; wasn't much thinking there :P
*The rift was not closed.
*The area to the south is hills. I think I said that in the description. I didn't know how to do hills for colors :P
*The map grid is not uniform because I actually just took a screen shot of Photoshop zoome in enough to see individual pixels. That image is 32x32 originally; to me, coloring over positions is simply just 'go to corresponding player layer, tap arrows'.
*I have only 3 colors for the hills, but while making the map I magnified it by four times and the program automatically smoothed it.
*Grids are rather hard to do (imo) when the players explore non-square areas...

I will probably...
- Change player colors
- Lighten map for contrast
- Add a key
- Think up some way to represent coordinates ... Probably number by number, so I can go into negatives :P

You could go with normal map topographics, as in - lower, greener, higher, yellow then red/brown.

Teal for swamplands, bright yellow for sand?

Or you could use GPS coordinates... The left portal tile is N 0 E 0 (also, S 0 W 0). Everything southwest of it, for example, is S 7 W 2

Also, if Artemi's ship reaches me this turn, this is Prof. Genja's answer:

"Hmm... Scientific and arcane combined. Plus, Artemi known from project, trustworthy, acceptably smart. Unlike some here. Return at once, messenger, answer is yes. Further contact after primary exploration."

Incidentally, it seems we have something more important to take care of:

Send the arcane support ship to help close the rift, and follow in the flagship to do the same. Get as close as needed to help, but not closer. All other ships continue as before.

EDIT: I'll take a orangeish color.
