GAME START!


Game Event:

After much discussion, the six of them decide to meet together at a mall in the middle of Oak Park during the peak lunch hour.

Upon arrival, they instinctively drift together in front of a hotdog kiosk inside the mall and begin discussion immediately in hushed voices. They take their ordered food and sit on a nearby bench. Someone mentions that they have heard about the Seers having a base of operations nearby to this mall. As soon as the word "Seer" is said, the entirety of the shopping centre goes silent.

A little boy points to one of the entrance doors and says "Mummy! Look!"
Three strong-shouldered men in black suits and wearing sunglasses walk through the doors like they own the place but are disgusted at the residents. A path appears before them as people move out of their way.

"Hey!"

Opposite to the three men, two men and a woman all in denim, leather and sneakers stand in a line.

"What do you think you're doing here?"

"We will not tolerate you, Seers."
"We will crush you -"
" - beyond oblivion."

"Not today you won't, Black Eyes."

The three men open their jackets and pull out large pistols in unison and open fire. The woman takes a step forward and raises both hands as if to catch the bullets - a shimmering barrier appears and catches them for her. One man hefts and throws what looks to be a ball of flame and the other slashes his arm across and down in front of him.

People begin screaming.

One of the three men's pistols is ripped and thrown from his hands as the fireball bears down on top of him and explodes. The second of the three pulls his gun back and pushes his other palm out, sending the woman toppling over backward and skidding along the floor with a cry. The man with the fireballs is shot and yells out and the third guy starts flinging oncoming bullets away desperately.

Most of the public has run or is in the process of running from the combat. The six are situated halfway between but also a distance perpendicular to the line of fire. The lost pistol has clattered to a stop close by.

Sleek, athletic body, strong and agile, but lacking the build for very long runs and tending towards the more acrobatic, leaping and dodging side. Usually wears blue or black jeans with an off-white or gray t-shirt topped by a black vest. Likes to check the time using the silver pocket watch that he holds dear.

Has an Iphone for talking to his parents and a Droid for business, both of which he spends a large amount of time on.

I mean there were some black kids at his school and one got expelled for bringing a gun to school but it wasn't even loaded and no one ever thought of actually using one! Asher gets as close as he can to safety and dials his mom for help!

Emmanuel cautiously looked for and grabbed anything passive of being used as a spear, even better if there a store of realistic medieval goods around. He also pulled the gun closer with something, either the spear proper or a stick.

On either side of the bench are tall spindly fake plants. The nearest sports store, if he remembers correctly, is about 200m (600ft?) to his left going south. He goes and grabs onto the rightside fake plant and rips it up from its foam base, spraying dirt everywhere. He rips a branch off to use as a club.

Powder Miner (5) May Powlin
May flips herself over the back of the bench and crouches, safe for the moment. One of the slats there looks to be loose - it has many nails and screws in it, some rusty. There also is a piece of short sharp aluminium on the ground behind the bench and an old roll of duct tape in the leftside plant's pot.
