Miniupdate 2!
You decide to take on Sir Lorang as your first Squire. He is very honoured, and you look forward do learning more about him in the future. Right now, you donīt have the time. But Dreadrikr approaches you, implying he wants to cooperate closer in the future. The last thing you have to decide is how much you want to pay for Sir Lorangīs armour. Dreadrikr gives you 100 goldcoins. You could buy the cheapest things available for 150, or a normal knight armour for 250. Anything above that is not really expected of you.
Regarding the thief, you here some mumbling from your people that you should have punished him more severely. Tried to stole from their food stock after all, however, they trust your instinct. So the issue didīnt heard about any further.
You are also quite concerned about the unhappiness of the Priest. Just to go to the service wonīt do. You could dedicate your monthly feast to religion, build a better church, or do something else to improve the relation. The problem is, that the more you help the priesthood, the mightier they will be in this part of the region (As the people become more religious.) At the moment, the priest donīt have a lot to say in local politics, although they will become a mighty foe if you grow larger.
You send out a few scouts to look for the bandits. And....they found them. Sadly, you lost 1 archer and 3 hunters as they were discovered and killed. To you want to repay the families in any way?
However the surviving scouts got a fairly good view of their camp. It looks like they are around 20 men, plus minus 5. Most of them use axes and spears. A handful are competent archers. They look fairly well trained, probably on pair with your spearmen. They currently hide in a large cave in a forest a few hours from here. It would be hard to use your horses in terrain there.
