It is now spring! Its now been a whole year since you first arrived at your estate. And you are quite happy with your accomplishments.
Your main for the season was absolutely the arrival of Amroth Elnesar. In the meantime, you managed to get some information about Amroth. Aperently, he is not the smartest crayon in the box, but not the dumbest either. He is a good fighter, almost par with you. He is also one of the richer barons in the county.
Which is quite bad for you actually, since Amroths relation with his vassals are rather bad. Especially with you, after your victorious battle against the rebels a few years ago, he seemed to dislike you even more. You are not sure why, but you have heard that you gained the honor of leading the battle instead of one of his nephews.
You have also started to build an in in your town! Here the townfolks will meet, and from time to time travellers will come there and gain you a few coins in taxes. This will increase as the settlement becomes more popular.
A few days into april, Amroth finally arrives. He has an escort of five knights and a few servants. He rides on a fine warhorse and as he rides into the estate he seems quite unimpressed.
”I see that you have done a few improvements” His voice is indiffirent and you are getting worried this wont end as well as you hoped to do.
But never the less there was a great feast to Elnesars honour. Your servants served the most delicious food that your peasants were able to cook. There was several martial arts competitions, although no one made a real impression, there is bound to be some talented fighter in your population though, if you continue with the feasts, even in a smaller scale, you will surely find them. Elnesar was content with the feast, witch is a disappointment considering the amount of food you spended. Elnesar seems hard to impress, you might have to deal with him in a different way in the future, or he will be a problem in your quest for power. Luckily the hunt went better, you was able catch one large bear and a deer aswell. Both was eaten during the festival with great rejoice.
After a few days, Amroth decided it was time for him to leave, you have probaly risen slighty in his eyes, but your relation is still very cold. This is a bad thing, since you will need his recommendation to advance in title, or marry a woman with the title you desire (But that is a hard route as well).
”So, Sir Reginald Dumac, is there anything you want to discuss before I take my leave?” This is your chance to discuss anything appropriate, however, be careful to make any large demands, since that would lower your relations even further.
