Gonna have to say no to NWS, just because it is amazing and our eclectic mix of instruments couldn't do justice to it. The Mortal Kombat Theme, however...

Oh. Yes.

Probably thats why they are used with pentagrams on covers of Satanic Black Metal albums.

Hey, are there still musicians here?

I'm working on another flash for my forum game because...
I did one last year around this time and I thought it would be appropriate.

I figured this time I'd ask if anyone wanted to compose instead of just using royalty free stuff again.
I really just need a piece that's under 3 minutes that starts out quiet and somber and builds to a crescendo
preferably without discernible lyrics.

If anyone could help me out with that would be really cool.
I'm not really loaded with reimbursement funds but If you have a Paypal I might be able to buy you lunch.

I'm still here. I could attempt to whip something up today.

That would be really cool, I probably won't get started in flash until tomorrow.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

I'll see what I can do. Do you want me to play a composition on my euphonium or compose something in Finale?

I was going to opt for composing something in MuseScore. What's the theme of the game, Robocorn?

I'm not pulling a game this time, last time it took almost forty hours to complete which left me totally wiped over the weekend. :o
I'm going to put together a short flash film with limited animation to allow more polished art.
The idea would be more for cinematic flair, but I could probably add interactive elements if I could come up with any appropriate ones.

I guess the theme would be death and rebirth if those are themes.

I'm not familiar with Finale but I'm not sure a piece composed entirely on euphonium would fit the mood, I could be wrong of course.

That's exactly what I was looking for. I'll get to it after I eat some lunch.

EDIT: Progress!

Nice so far, Mego. I'll have to step up my game a little bit. Decided to go for a Viola d'Amore and Euphonium duet, though I may change from Euphonium. (I like composing for it because I'm very familiar with the range and whatnot. I've played it a while.  :P )

That's way out of my league.

I'll need to catch up to you.

NEW GOAL: Learn how to make classical/baroque-esque melodies (that doesn't sound like Toccata & Fuge).

I've taken theory classes in school, so I have some experience with composing polyphonic pieces. Plus, I did band for 6 years, which gives me a good feel for how instruments can be used for certain feels. I've gotten somewhat stuck at that point, as I can't decide on how I want to proceed.

I've been in band/wind ensemble for 8 years, but I suck at theory. I usually just wing it, sometimes it works.

What program do you use, Mego? I'm just starting to get into electronic production (i.e. Pro Tools and Max).
