Is anyone interested in joining a DnD 3.5 campaign?
The campaign has started, but there have been fairly few meetings so far, and we are currently quite short on players (three players, and we have not been able to meet recently because one player is in the middle of moving). (I am not the DM, but the DM agrees that we need more players.)
Our group meets on on IRC on Tuesdays (though that might be changeable) at around 4:00-5:00 eastern time.
For more information, and to contact the DM, see:
http://tgchan.org/kusaba/tg/res/317995.htmlOur current group (the PCs started at lvl 5, and are now lvl 7):
- Human Psion
- Dromite (these dwarf-like bug people) Psion
- Warforged (golem) Druid
The campaign so far:
The PCs started out by waking up in an elven lab run (the elves in this setting are rather different from standard elves), which they promptly escape. After wandering through the woods for a bit, they find their way to an underground city inhabited by an assortment of friendly (or at least not hostile) monstrous humanoids. The PCs soon find out that the city is having problems with dragon attacks and a malfunctioning city-covering shield spell. After some investigation, the PCs find a gnomeis ex-adventurer near the city who they convince to help safely dispel the shield.
And this is the point where everything goes to hell.
It starts when a certain
someone decisions involving sneaking away from the group to mess around in a locked room stuffed full of obviously dangerous and cursed items. Long story short, a colossal Cthulu-esque monster
(specifically, part elder black dragon, part illithid, part drider, part rust monster, part cloaker and maybe a few other things) is created which goes on a lengthy rampage involving a fight with five adult dragons at once and ending in the destruction the the city the PCs were trying to help. The PCs flee through tunnels in the sewers with a few dozen surviving townsfolk they were able to gather, and are as of the latest session fighting off a tribe of cannibalistic dwarven barbarians in an underground jungle.
