Arena: Dark God's Challenge

The souls of long dead heroes stir, and the Gods awaken once more to wage wars that have slumbered for centuries, you are not the greatest heroes of legend, but you each are heroes. Your names may have faded from history, and your bones turned to dust, but soul lives on, awaiting its chance for rebirth, and that time is upon us. The Dark God Zelzar has awoken once more, and now he calls forth the souls of heroes to prevent their resurrection in the coming war, and bend their souls to his will. The forces of the undead roam the arena he has built for this day, beings of darkness foul, and beyond your belief have gathered to confront you and bring about your untimely perish. To survive you must fight your way through all twenty arenas he has put in place, and then finally slay the Dark God himself, who shall step forward to answer the call?

Code: (Campaign Info) [Select]
You will fight through twenty arenas filled with the undead, and numerous dark creatures who seek your death. Upon reaching the final arena you shall face the Dark God himself, if you prevail your soul
shall continue on to be reborn in the next War of the Gods, and if you fail your soul shall perish forever.

You can create a character of level 5-6, only base classes/races allowed unless you ask me, and I grant permission for said class/race. Starting gold of 15,000.

If your character dies during combat in the arena they rise again, but this time at the service of the Dark God. (The player retains control, but they must now fight their allies.

This will be held through a few IRC sessions (10-20), they will be held on weekends, most likely on Sundays (UTC-08:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada)

Each arena will consist of hordes of enemies, and a boss of some sort (Some arenas will house numerous Bosses).

Holy crap, that is quite a charisma score there.

Count me in for playing; I'll get a character sheet done sometime over the next couple days.

I might join, but I'll have to see. The timing's good, though... I'll probably do either a cleric, paladin, or ranger. Using healing spells to hurt has the potential to be very fun.

In any case it would be a battle of critical thinking and I refuse to fight an unarmed individual.

CLERIC!

We need a cleric! xD Not only are they undead, you can use Circle against Ebil to prevent outsiders, undead or not, from intruding your private space.

I'm thinking of playing a paladin or a duskblade, but I'd play cleric if nobody else is going to.

I'll probably take cleric if I can play, but I'll have to check. FOR PELOR! (Hey, light spells...)

We should start at level 5, here, right?

Don't mind if we wind up with two clerics; Radiant Clerics of Pelor are such an obvious choice against undead... A 11th level one can destroy downright epic undead opponents.

Sky, even if it is 6, you will need to dump your class level.

Yeah, after all so far all we got are Clerics, and mages of some sort, this may be more difficult without a melee character in your party, but it could just as easily be a good thing since you'll be able to deal damage at range.

While to-hit isn't too much of a problem against most undead, we could definitely use a paladin or duskblade, though I support paladin myself.
