Oomph- After-race press conference

*Oomph is shown receiving explicit instructions on what to say from his manager Bradely Boo-who shyly turns invisible as soon as the camera zooms in on him-a few moments before adressing the camera*

"Oomph here, to be congratulating all racers for...fine racing today! Especially Falcon-Man, who has earned Oomph respect-and Oomph looking forward to rematch, one day!

Also, to fans at Home-Oomph enjoys continued support, and uses time to say Oomph fan club is up to 64 members and growing every day! Keep holding torch for Oomph.

Finally, and in concluding, Oomph must congratulate Grimtoad for hard fought race, and regrets unlucky setbacks.

Oomph is formal make generous offering to Grimtoad of 1 coin for repairs to busted Kart, so that he might race again, and offer great challenge to MKL!"

*With that, Oomph departs, waving at the crowd. He's seen leaving with one hammer girl on his arm*

*Grimtoad, attending Oomph's press conference, catches the coin Oomph flips to him as he goes off stage.*

"May we race again, thick-shelled Koopa karter! Thanks for the coin. I'll be sure to mention you if I get the Driver of the Week nomination."

How does sponsoring a race work? I remember you saying something about that earlier in the thread, but I can't find the post.

Fox was still in the stands, snoring, the empty bottle of Fire Flower on its side by his feet, having dozed off somewhere in the second lap. He sat up quickly when the noise of the crowd reached a crescendo during the home stretch, scowled at a child sitting near him who'd just bashed him over the head with an over-exuberant swing of a 'Go Mario!' flag, and then squinted down at the track in time to see the results.

"Huh... Jeez, Bill. Still, better than I could do."
So saying, Fox swiped a couple of cups of watered-down beer from a passing vendor, waved briefly to Bill, then downed them and dozed off again, returning to his tortured dreams of burning shrapnel, horrific screams and the high-pitched blasting of deadly lasers.

I'll have something posted up in a few days for Silph. Broke my dominant arm (3 times!) on Monday so typing is a bit of a slog for the time being.

About the track tweaks-I got thease idea from the Mt. Silver in the Johto region, so if you want to change the obstacles, that could help.
Here's a link to it's page on Bulbapedia.http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Mt._Silver
The Pikachu looks great. It is worth pointing out that I'll be rolling on the ground laughing if Team Rocket offers me a contract :D.

Looking at his damaged kart, Bill realized how much of a risk that was. "Why did I use my actual vehicle? That was a baad move. Well, at least I'm out there." Bill shrugged. "Well, looks like I'll have to get corporate back-up."

Counselor Grimtoad +1 Coin
Oomph -1 Coin

I'm shooting for Sunday/Monday start for the next race, so you've got time.

The Sponsor Rules, under Sponsor Actions. The link to that post is in the OP- the info itself would be there were it not for character count limits. To answer your question, you need to have at least 6 Coin, and you need to express an intent to sponsor. If more than one Sponsor wants to endorse a race, they bid on it, first bid going to the Sponsor with the most Prestige (if tied, most Coin.) At this time, no other Sponsor has expressed an intent to bid on our next race (if only because I'm still figuring out what the NPCs want to do this turn.)

Of the six that ran in Yoshi Falls,
two have won, and lessened their load.
Yet Shy Guy was impressed, by the losers, instead;
he cast his vote for Counselor Grimtoad!

I just had a good (?) idea. Gonna dub it the Kirby Open.

Basically, people are gonna want to race when they aren't racing, right? Well, the basic idea here is that the Kirby Open is an unofficial race that allow people to have a race without needing to worry about permanent hiccups or anything-they just race.

You'll be allowed to "borrow" a kart so hiccups are wiped, but you can use modules if you own them. Any hiccups gained on track are removed post race, but aside from that, it's exactly the same. There is no entry fee and no prize but the good feeling of whooping ass.

Good idea y/n?

Good idea, but it probably would be best with its own thread and GM to keep from slowing down the main game. I'd play it though :P

I like the idea, gives those not racing something to do and some practice for the actual races.  Are you going to run it?  If so, I think you should make it a separate thread to avoid complication.
