DRIVE AGGRESSIVELY INSIDE. DB reconnected himself as the lakitu dropped him on the track. Worst part of those stars where how badly they jumbled his bones. "Note to self, do not taunt they guy directly behind you if he has a star." DB mumbled to himself as his kart finally kicked forward. Looking back as he heard Luigi, he couldn't help but yell back. "Ha, it took a combination of items from 3 separate racers just to get me in this spot, all it took for you to fall behind was a little love tap on the bumper. I hope you enjoyed your 15 minutes of fame from out of your brothers shadow."

Waving the dry bones good bye as it felt off the tracks from the ramming attack, Falcon looked at his two opponents and the track ahead of him. He could take the jump and try to take an early lead, or he could take the safer path below and catch up on the next segment. Since he had little risk of loosing his place as the other three trailed behind, taking it safe looked far better and striking it out afterwards.

Rainbow Road- Turn Five

1st      2nd      3rd      4th      5th     6th

Action Phase

The ink will be gone by the time I take the jump, right?  If so, TAKE THE JUMP!  Otherwise, Avoid jump, defensive

Crank tries to give himself a bonus to Pulling Ahead for once, and heads for the jump at Green! He hits the ramp at full speed, [2]+1 but he's way off his mark! He misses the landing strip, plummeting into the inky blackness of space, losing his Bob-omb and Falling Back!

Take the Jump.

The Mysterious Mr. L follows Crank up the jump ramp, hoping to keep pace with the speedy Gloomba and keep away from the Invincible Captain Falcon! [2]+1 Unfortunately, he takes the exact same line as Crank, discovering the leader's inaccuracy too late as he falls toward the stars!

Drive Aggressively

Captain Falcon, seeing the terrible fate of Crank, chooses to chase The Mysterious Mr. L down the low road, pressing the Blue Falcon to its limits as he attempts to gain ground! [4] He closes the distance, gaining ONE Momentum and staying a breath behind the Mysterious Mr. L!

Dry Bones leads the way into the curve at Yellow, [1] but finds himself hewing too closely to the edge! He violently swerves back onto the course, avoiding another fallback at the cost of losing ONE Momentum!

Powerslide along the inside.

"Well, well, look who it is. I see the good Captain finished the job I started."

Luigi follows Dry Bones inside, [3]+1 nailing his Powerslide! His engines flare with Nitrous exhaust, and he surges forward with ONE Momentum and a +1 bonus on Pass checks! His burst carries him to where DB is struggling, [6]+4+1vs[5]+2 and he passes with ease, losing no Momentum for the attempt due to the nature of the segment!

Powerslide on the inside, aim for an item box.

Princess Zelda follows Luigi's lead on the inside of Yellow, [5]+1 and makes up for the lack of Module boost with excellent technique! Her boost grants her ONE Momentum and a +1 bonus on Pass Checks as she closes in on Dry Bones, [5]+4+1vs[2]+2 pulling past on the other side! She takes his position with no loss of Momentum for much the same reason as Luigi!

1st      2nd      3rd      4th      5th     6th
Movement Phase

Crank and The Mysterious Mr. L are falling! Faaaaallliiiiiing!

Captain Falcon [4] expertly navigates the abrupt corners of the Green segment, avoiding any loss of Momentum! In fact, with the leaders falling back to join the pack, Captain Falcon has a unique opportunity to open up an enormous lead! [1] Unfortunately, he gets too distracted watching MML and Crank freefall, and only saves himself from a similar setback by suddenly swerving sideways back onto the track, at the cost of ONE Momentum!

Luigi tears around the curve, neck and neck with Princess Zelda! Neither have the Momentum to try and Pull Ahead, but they do have a shot at some Item Boxes!

Dry Bones is at the back of the pack, but at least he's in line for an Item!

Cleanup Phase

Captain Falcon's Invincibility wears off!

Crank and The Mysterious Mr. L are caught by the nice folks at Lakitu Towing, and dragged back to the start of Green! They are thrust forward with THREE Momentum, but they'll have to drive fast if they want to stay in front- Luigi and Zelda are blasting forward!

Speaking of, Luigi takes aim at one of the Item Boxes lining the inner path of Yellow, [1] but hits the Fake! He flips, losing TWO Momentum as he struggles to stay on the path! [5]+1 Thankfully, the Poltergust 4000 regains traction before meeting disaster once again, [2]+2 and Luigi readily takes one of the real Item Boxes. [6]+3+1 He triumphantly holds his Blue Shell aloft!

Zelda lines up on an Item Box, [5]+2 hitting it with no problem. [2]+4+1 She picks up Another Mushroom!

Finally, Dry Bones makes his attempt, [5]+2 easily taking an Item Box. [3]+5+1 A Triple Green Shell begins circling the Dry Bomber!

(Oh, zog off, I just got this lead >:( )

Captain Falcon let of a rare genuine smile as he watched Tweedledee and Tweedledum fall off the track in their misguided attempt to jump over the track, leaving the F-Zero racer all by himself with a comfortable lead. Of course, now every single one of the other racers was gunning for him, and he needed to get as much distance between them and himself before then.

The CEO watched as Dry Bones fell to the back of the pack. So the universe does exercise some form of karma. Good, good. He allowed himself a small smile of triumph. Turning to another of his flunkies he gave an order, "Go to some of the bleacher sections and stir up some cheering support for Luigi. I'm sure it won't take much as he has a bit of an underdog story. Just a nudge here, or there." He turned back to the glass. Simple and quiet. Don't let them see what you are up to. That's what his grandpa had taught him. So far it was working perfectly.

DB almost smashed his head against his steering wheel as that screw up on the rim cost him to fall to last. Had he been to cocky? Had his arrogance caused lady luck to abadone him? No time to dwell on that as he noticed the armor of his kin circle his kart. Letting out a chuckle, DB looked up and focused his gaze on the 5 ahead of him. "Welcome to the slaughterhouse." DRIVE AGGRESSIVELY Fire 2 shells at zelda and 1 at luigi.

My apologies, but my meatspace game of DnD is going into extra innings, so the next turn will get delayed until tomorrow night.
