Yeah, when I tried to purchase a fire amp the guys maintaining the Armoury told me about some new "No Amps" policy because some xeno called "The Lurker" decided to start raping reality around amps. Really pissed me off when I heard about it.

Neither am I, but it would allow you to buy some other piece of equipment. I think that some affordable weapons are out which require similar skills. I suppose you could take your chances with the xenofuckery, but using it is going to hurt a great deal more than it used to.
