Ok, Halloween is a busy day for me, being a skeleton and all, so I'm just gonna do the briefing and then do the actions of the other non-mission going people tomorrow or monday.
>So. You're all no doubt aware that Amps and Manips have, well, become even more dangerous than they once were. Because of this we're currently phasing out their usage. They're no longer going to be sold openly. You'll be able to get them, but only with my approval; I don't want just any stasis dementia riddled idiot to be able to summon extrauniversal attention with a handful of fat fingered button presses.
We know why this happened and how; and we know we can't really do anything to undo it. So we're just going to have to work around or with it for the time being. The situation is changing and we're changing with it, and part of that change is throwing off the old ways and embracing new, frightening, unknown things. And for that, we need as much data as we can get.
Before mission 21 lost contact, they were attempting to flee via a ship. I don't know if they succeeded; their manip systems would be down now and the entire star system they were in is gone. We will assume that they made it out. And we will also assume that they were flying in the direction of the nearest jump point. Now, the effects of the intrusion by the other universal entity have yet to reach the jump point, so we'll be able to move into that area. From there, we will search for their ship. Hopefully we will find it and be able to rescue them and gather any data available before leaving back through the jump point.
I don't know what we'll encounter out there. There's literally no telling what could happen. We're going in on a hunch and it is entirely possible that nothing but death awaits you all. But we have to know about this enemy if we are going to fight it.
Everyone still on board?
