Grab all the stuff requisitioned for me by Blops and familiarize myself with it, then go to tinker and work on my ongoing projects until time to drop.

"I SHOULD REALLY HAVE HAD HIGHER WILL BONUSES! AHHHHH"
Dubley aims his laser cannon at Taddok, having terrible STAN flashbacks. (Taddok is in the rec room, right?)
"Steve! Miyamoto! Fleshwarper alert!"
"Oh for the love of... Pancaek, deal with it."
As long as you keep the brains in their individual life support systems, then all you need to do is roll Aux to uncouple them and install the new brain. And the Output thing is already on it.
I meant, could you give me the actual output now? Aka, I'd like to check my brain's status.
We were planning on pods, but we can use shuttles if you want.
Let's use pods for the troops, and shuttles for vehicles if we need them (in case we bring the jeeps).
Is there any way to see the nerves from aboveground? Any cameyes setting that could help see it? What do the thicker bundles look like aboveground?
Oh, well the readout looks sort of like a heart monitor or an eeg. It's got three colored lines which are scrolling forward across a moving grid background, with some numbers labeled along the left side. One of the lines, a red one, is sitting still at 0, while the other two, green and blue, are synced up and are wavering slightly, between 5 and -5.
We don't know if there are any ways to see them besides normal visual inspection. But thicker bundles will probably be visible in the same way veins are under your own skin.
"Gotta go, old man, duty calls. Text me if you need anything"
Pan heads off towards Taddok and Dubley.
Arriving there, he crosses his arms.
"Jeezus fucking christ on a pogo stick, what the hell are you two chucklefucks doing?! You, baldy, put the gun down before I slap your shit with it! And you, Tattoos, get your goddamn limbs sorted out, you're a disgrace to our non-existant uniform!"
Feed one of my mind pills to thaddok. If thaddok shows no signs of stopping growing more limbs, contain him in a 6 foot sphere with mass amp.
Taddok doesn't have tattoos. Or a face at this point. He's just a human shaped - well mostly what with all the extra limbs - expanse of completely featureless skin. But he doesn't seem hostile. Just...bad at this.
Remember how when I fire the more powerful modes of the rainbow cannon like blue lightning or red plasma I drain the suit's reserves and have to wait for it to restart? I want something like a secondary battery or capacitor or generator that would let me walk around after firing the red plasma or let me fire blue lightning while retaining mobility for about a minute.
If that can't be done, then look for something I could use to protect others. Some sort of shield, maybe? Maybe some sort of flaming shield or shield with circular saws so that it can keep the haebi away from my more squishy teammates. Got any suggestions about what would help keep others safe?
I'll put the below in the wiki myself, just notifying you in case there are trouble:
I noticed I have no duct tape. Get some.
Also, get a drum of booze. I know I can't use it to start a fire due to low atmosphere, but I might be able to get the planet drunk.
Just walk around? No secondary firing or anything fancy? Because that would be cheap and relatively small.
Brother Lars makes a quick trip to the hangar to purchase the Shard Launcher from General Miyamoto. Hefting its considerable weight, he sticks it in his locker before pulling out his suit. He meets Maurice in the hallway and trades the suit for a replacement set of tokens. "Brother Maurice, you shall be greatly protected in this suit. I have marked it with the Symbol of Algis, so his shielding hands shall bless you as well."
Lars says a quick prayer for Maurice and his suit before he heads to the briefing room.
Briefing Room! Also inscribe the Arrow of Ingram on the Shard Launcher for good measure.
You walk over to the briefing room while marking up the shard launcher.

Hey,
Is it possible to get prototype armor of some kind from team fund or tokens to buy Mk II? I got my weapons sorted out, but going to unfamiliar and dangerous ground without protection feels little unpleasant.
Read through all mission reports so I know who is dangerous and who's not, including reports from other HMRC/ARM ships and ones from Sword teams before so called mission 1, if such things are available.
- Mk I Suit
- 0 tokens
- Mass Manipulation Psychokinetic Amplifier
- SS Testament LSW (180/180)
| - Janitor jumpsuit
- Bodyguard suit
- Sunglasses
- SAP Gloves
- Ski-mask
- Bulletproof vest
- Concealed pistol
- Backpack
- Laptop. Dead.
- Hydraulic cutter
- Crowbar
|
I'll assume this is just gaining IC knowledge.
Also, whose dangerous? How about everyone.
Bowing his head with gratitude and spiritual understanding, Maurice replied to Brother Lars.
Thank you, Brother. I shall put it to good use.
Put the new MkIII suit on. Copy over the Medical monitoring tool to the new suit.
Open the SPOOKY GARROW container; inspect the contents.
I have asked Steve on the matter, and it appears that there is little practical long-term gain for much disaster potential.
Specifically: the planet will invariably know of the teams presence whether they cut the ground or not; unless they go all overboard burning with lasers, any knife would suffice to cut the flesh without much difference in the speed of angering the planet (the mere presence is angering enough); it is not impossible but much more difficult to spot the nerves without cutting the ground; and unless there is specific need to dissect it very carefully (in which case a Medical specialist is suggested), anyone can do the simple cutting without any difficulty.
All in all, it appears that using the knife is unadvised.

You open the package and pull out what appears to be a tiedye shirt. You stare at it for a moment in confusion, and notice that the spiraling colors begin to move, twisting and blurring into a technicolor whirlpool. The colors start to leak off the shirt and infect the world with their gaudy splendor, staining the ship and your own flesh with neon hues.
"Of course boss, wouldn't dream of it. I still remember some of the things you've taught and shown me."
Alright, using the 8 tokens borrowed from Milno and the remaining two I have, go to Nyars and buy ICH-BT-WE-Pa423 AMIABLE AMBER.
Grab the box and head off to the hanger away from everyone and scan it with the cam-eyes. If it looks like it won't immediately kill me, open the box. Slowly. Don't touch it, just look it over with the cam-eyes.
EDIT: Collect my one token up front for potion #6 to Beirus/Jason.

Inside the box is a metal case, something like a metal briefcase, secured with snaps on the top and sides. Inside this case are several layers of foam sheets, stacked one atop another. Secured in the foam sheets, evenly spaced across their surface, are what look like metal buttons. They're metal disks, about an inch and a half wide, and slightly bulged in the center. One side is smooth and polished, with a resemblance to chrome. The other side is flat, with a large hypodermic needle protruding from the center. There are 144 buttons to each layer of foam, and 4 layers, two directly attached to the walls of the case, two loose inside. 576 buttons in total.
"Oh, baldy is going to sit back and watch from a distance is he? BULL. SHIT. SOLDIER. You don't just call in a fleshorror and annoy the general over some trivial shit like this and walk away! Now drop down and give me forty before I turn your arms into cake and make you eat them!"
"Yes sir!"
Drop and give Pancaek the 40 best pushups he's ever seen.
You do some one finger pushups. In a handstand. With one finger.
"Call a doctor, I've got a bad case of swollioscis."

Irling approaches Hasala, and requests a 5 token loan. He punctuates the request with a trustworthy, possibly mask-enhanced smile.
Mask enhanced eh?
"No weapon, huh? You're definitely going to need one on this mission. 5 tokens is just within the realm of possibility, but remember that I'll be expecting these back once you've been paid enough to do so."
Last 4 tokens to Irling Ragnar, plus all but one of my painkillers for him to sell for the last token.

"Covering fire, right. Because I really need another chucklefuck waving around military grade weaponry in the rec room! I'm starting to wonder wether the HMRC recruited from criminals or special needs children. Now put that gun down, drop to the floor and give me forty, maggot!" Pan yells in the new guys' face, brow furrowed and eye twitching.
This guy is insane.
Do forty push-ups, I guess.
You do a few lackadaisical pushups before taking advantage of pancaek's inattention and slithering away.
Irling gets his microwave amp removed, and proceeds to advertise it for 2 credits.

If not in briefing room already, head there now, with a loadout of a Tesla Saber, Monoatomic Machete, and a Combat Knife from the armory.

Jobasio gives a pleasant nod of thanks to the AM as he pulls the eyepatch over his head, adjusting the 'patch' part to sit atop his cameye. He takes a brief glance at his reflection in the nearest shiny surface, then nods again to those around him and strides purposefully off in the direction of the Rec room.
Graciously thank the AM and equip my new eyepatch to cover my cameye.
Then, head to the Rec room, strap myself into an unoccupied VR machine, and see if the Tinker program will load.

Jason decides to pause his attempts at using the Hive for the moment, checking on his wrist pad to see if any of the other inmates happened to be selling anything useful for a cheaper price than the armory. After finding something that piqued his interest and a small back-and-forth of messages to determine the price of what he wanted, he set off to find Thaddeus. "You're selling the potion, right? Here's the first part of the payment for it. I'll give you the rest when I get it." He states as he hands the man a single token. Once he has the potion, he'll head off to find Flint to settle some business.
Put the bug production on pause for now. Go buy Potion 6 from Thaddeus with a 1 token down payment. Go find Flint. I've got part of a debt to pay off.

Sigh, understand that no one is coming, and go to armory.
"Ahem...Hello. I would like to ask, can I... I mean, can you modify Gungnir kit to be used with Спектр, like... for additional cost maybe, messer Armory Master?"
Wanna try that one again but in god's language, Space English?
No, really, I'm not sure what you're asking here.
Brother Lars regarded the antics in the briefing room. It warmed his heart to see such earnest and capable troopers. He bowed his head in prayer.
"O Cog-azaon, may your divine will see fit to bless this humble servant with the knowledge of the Haebi..."
Pray to Cog-azaon for knowledge of the Haebi.
You get the distinct feeling that it might be a good idea to limit the types of damage being used at any one time. As in, everyone should use lasers until lasers are no longer effective, and then move on to a different kind of weapon. This way, the haebi don't rapidly adapt defenses to all your weapons.
